I know, I know, next we'll have Marxists, Leftists, Socialists,
Communists, and all sort of other "ists," brought in to this
sad affair. Poor Mr Lim.

I do know Danny and I’m appalled at this use of excessive force on a harmless old man.

Hey ttbn,
"which is a perfectly normal occurrence with a person resisting arrest."

Two cops couldn't handle a frail old man without throwing him to the ground?
- Maybe that's the problem here.

"The silly old bugger could have moved on when requested to do so."
Maybe, but only because legally its a privately owned building.

"After being fined $500 for offensive behaviour, the Sydney magistrate Jacqueline Milledge, who was critical of the responding officers’ behaviour, ruled the signs might be cheeky but they were not criminally offensive."
http://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2022/nov/22/serial-protester-danny-lim-in-hospital-after-discontinued-arrest-in-sydney-cbd
So he wasn't actually breaking any laws, just being a nuisance in a privately owned shopping centre.
And if he wasn't doing anything wrong, then what was the $500 fine for?
- Gotta make him guilty of something right?

"The man’s arrest was discontinued after he struggled with police and sustained an injury to his cheekbone."

Why discontinue the arrest after you injured him?
Why not just walk past and punch him in the face and keep on walking
- It wouldn't make any difference.

You defend the system, even when the system is wrong.
You can't just go a crap on old people like that, just because you can.
That old bloke wasn't causing any real harm.

Danny has been "protesting" inside the QVB and around the streets for years, he's never offensive, he stands there with his signs, doesn't harass passersby's, never offensive to shop keepers, as I said one shop gives him a free cup of coffee most days. The mate said the coppers were there initially on another matter, or they were just passing through as no one has fessed up that they made a complaint about Danny. The only crime Danny is guilty of is he's eccentric. Given his physical condition I'm surprised that he can still get around the streets with his sandwich board. If you watch the film carefully you will see the aggressive copper on the right actually kicks Danny from behind with his right foot, then moments later uses his right leg to trip Danny over onto the hard floor, so he can apply the handcuffs.

BTW; it was a passerby that rang the ambulance, not the coppers.

Hey yourself AC

Just express your own opinions - don't concern yourself with mine which, I assure you, I will not be changing just because you don't like them.

A couple of baggage handlers employed by 'Swissport' were sacked for throwing bags around at Melbourne Airport, lets hope this pair of copper thugs meet the same fate.
