Dear Paul,

I watched part of the Labor Campaign Launch in WA
this afternoon. An impressive list of attendees
from Kevin Rudd, Paul Keating, to Labor state premiers,
and all of the front-bench. Most impressive.
Albanese's speech was strong. And he had a strong
finish as well which was pretty good considering
he just got out of isolation. He finished saying:

"Vote for an Australia that recognizes the privilege
of sharing our vast continent with the oldest continuous
culture on earth. Vote for a country that celebrates our
success as a multicultural nation. Vote for an Australia
that believes the doors of opportunity should be open to
every Australian, no matter where you live, who you pray
to, or who you love."

"I think people know all about Scott Morrison - they've
worked him out. Australians understand that we can't bet
out future on the 3 more years of a PM who looks at every
challenge facing our country and says:

"That's not my job!"

Hi Foxy,

Yes, it went down well for the Labor Party. Albo spoke with a great deal of confidence.

International Labour Day,

Its been almost 10 years of the Coalition government in Canberra applying the economic thumb-screws to Australia's 13 million workers. With Coalition policies resulting in poorly paid insecure work and flat wages, Australians are now facing the double whammy of rising inflation and soaring mortgage rates. Whats Morrison's response; "Its not my job" and sarcastically "If you can afford the rent, go buy a house"

Dear Paul,

The government has had more than a decade to act on
the enormous threat of climate change and to create
an economy that can benefit from that transition.
They haven't. They won't even implement basic
measures to clean up corruption and the chronic
mistreatment of the elderly. So it is time for us to
stand up and speak out with out votes. We need real
alternatives to what's currently being offered.

Anthony Albanese and Scott Morrison will go head
to head in a crucial 2nd election debate on the
Nine Network, less than 2 weeks before millions of
Australians cast their vote.

The hour long debate will take place on Mother's Day,
Sunday 8th May at 8.30pm at Nine's Sydney studios.

While the first debate was on Sky News "People's Forum"
with questions asked by selected voters on the pay TV
platform. The Nine debate will adopt the traditional
approach of using a panel of 3 journalists to question
the two leaders. Albanese was declared the winner of the
Sky News debate.

The Host of the debate will be 60 Minutes journalist -
Sarah Albo. And the three journalists asking the questions
are - Chris Uhlmann - Nine's political editor, David Crowe -
political journalist of - The Age, and The Sydney Morning Herald,
and Deb Knight - 9 Radio Host. All experienced journalists.

It should be an interesting debate. And the last chance for
each leader to tell the voters as to why they should be
elected.
