The “Gauss Rifle”, a solely electronic firearm is on sale to the general public in the US and they are able to be made by anyone with the necessary skills and a craft kit.
This is good or bad news, depending on one’s point of view, there are no restrictions on components and the barrel, normally one of the more complex items to produce, is simply a polycarbonate tube and the bullets (which are just bits of iron/steel rod) are available at your local hardware store.
These weapons can fire either single shots or full automatic and although not very powerful (as yet) they are lethal weapons, being on a par with the lower velocity group of .22 rim fire rifles.

Is Mise,
Totally adequate for sport/target shooting & disablement should the unthinkable situation for self-defence against violent aggressors arise.

Hi Issy,

I'm sure this will be quickly approved by the gun happy mob, Shooters and Hooters Party and their close allies in One Nation, along with the SS Club.
People who have a policy of 5 year olds taking loaded guns to school for "self protection" would have no problem with home made guns to shoot other people.

Individual,
That’s at the moment but technology can advance swiftly.

Paul,
Thank you for that thoughtful contribution.

Issy, you're welcome as always to my openess and truthfulness.

What about this;

The Remington Arms Co will pay $73 million in damages to 9 families of people killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School by crazed gunnie Adam Lanza in 2012. Lanza massacred 20 children and 6 adults at the school, using a Remington Bushmaster AR-15 rifle.

Remington are libel as a contributing partner to the actions of Lanza. Remington have blood on their hands, and no amount of money will wash the stain away..

Here in Australia the Federal government estimates gunnies are holding 260,000 illegal firearms.

Paul,
Remington should have held out.
They are as responsible for the deaths as is General Motors for the deliberate killing of a pedestrian by some crazy driving a Chevrolet or a Cadillac.

The lists in the blame game are endless.
