Issy, you never did explain how much you need to outlay in a 2 horse race to win enough to buy a car. Say you were able to obtain odds of $2.10 each of two in a two horse race then to win $1,000 you need to outlay $20,000, that is $10,000 on each runner, no matter which one wins wins. Now a bookmaker, his book is always over 100% as any smart punter knows. The fact is to win big by laying both runners in a two horse race, not only do you have to anticipate the movement of the odds, you have to outlay a lot of money. My question is; How does an old pensioner win a car by backing both side in an election?. EVIDENCE PLEASE.

Paul,

Because fools bet with their emotions not their brains.

Hi Issy,

ln my student days I spent some little time as a "Penciler" for a bookmaker at the "red hots", that is the Harold Park trots on a Friday night, I know how punting works. My simple question to you is what odds did you get each, for Labor and the Coalition at the last election? A very simple question, yet you refuse to answer. 10/1 5/1 evens odds on? You always are asking my forum friend Foxy and myself for EVIDENCE so I'm now asking you for EVIDENCE. Why not be a dog with a bone.

I offer $1,000 against a like or greater amount, then accept the bet when I have an equal counter bet, fools, to boost their ego or to shew how certain that their man will be elected will bet 2, 3 or more thous to my one. Can’t not win.

Never bet on horse races the only ones involved who are honest are the horses, likewise the trots.
The.dogs were another thing, especially when there were 10 races and only 8 boxes, one or two boxes were going to win twice or one box could win three times. So one backed the box that won the first race in the second and so on, sometimes a lot of money had to be laid out for a win so if it didn’t pan out by the sixth race we’d give itt up for that night but usually it paid off by the sixth.
Then the golden rule was ‘stop betting and go home’.

Hi Issy,

Liked working the trots, colorful character's. The old bookie I worked for, they said he was an alky, kept a flask in his back pocket, but he knew what he was doing.

Pauliar,

For someone that never presents EVIDENCE, you are very vocal in asking others.

The question is how much did you lose after your gloating last time?
