Described as "far right", Naftali Bennett has served in the IDF, and is reported as saying that he has "killed lots of Arabs in my life, and there is absolutely no problem with that". He has also been reported as saying that Palestinians will never get a state, and he will do everything in his power to ensure that they don't.

The people baying for Netanyahu's blood forgot that they should 'be careful what they wish for'.

Interesting times ahead for Palestinian terrorists.

Nothing has changed in Israel's government policies
or the attitudes of its leaders - regarding Palestinians over
the decades.

"We must do everything to insure they (the Palestinians)
never do return."

( David Ben-Gurion, in his diary, 18 July 1948).

And -

"The way to deal with Palestinians is to beat them up
Not once but repeatedly.
Beat them up so it hurst so badly,
Until it's unbearable."

(Benjamin Netanyahu).

At last, Israel has a prime-minister with a heart.

While I disagree with many of his views, I highly respect him as a good and honest person.

Nobody expected a Palestinian state overnight (nor would that be any good for the Palestinians themselves due to the high corruption of their elites), but the ice has been broken - Bennett and his right-wing orthodox party was willing for the first time to work side-by-side with Israeli Arabs and even allow them into their government. For some in his party, given their education since early childhood, that took enormous courage - sadly one of the seven members of his party could not find that courage and defected, but the other six broke through that enormous psychological barrier. As they work together in government, Jews and Arabs will discover that the other is not such a monster.

The last Israeli prime-minister with a heart was Menachem Begin: he ended up returning the Sinai peninsula to Egypt in return for peace.

In his inaugurating speech, Bennett mentioned that he will improve the daily and economical conditions of ordinary Palestinians. I am convinced that he will do so.

Bennett has a heart and so the trust will start to build up, slowly slowly replacing the treachery and ill-spirit of the last governments. Give it time please!

Yuyutsu,

The new Israeli PM in-waiting is in many ways more
right wing than Netanyahu. He's made his name in
Israeli politics through strong support of the
West Bank Settler Movement. He's also rejected
a separate Palestinian state and called for Israeli
annexation of the settler blocs.

We all have a heart. It's a pump that circulates blood. It has nothing to do with intellect or behaviour, good or bad.

Even accepting that people refer to the pump in romantic and fairytale ways, that sort of sentimentality could never be applied to the new Israeli PM. As usual, Yuyutusu makes a statement without any reason whatsoever as why this politician "has a heart". There is certainly nothing in his history or past statements to indicate that he is anything other than a hard man, which is what Israel needs. He is not for a Palestinian state, and he has no trouble killing Arabs.

To say he "has a heart" is really kooky. Perhaps it's just Yuyutusu being contrary for the sake of it.

Arabs and Israeli's can work together and do in the State of Israel. It is the Iranian influences and Hamas that are in conflict with Israel. Get rid of these and the State of Israel will have security and unity.
