One accolade for the Duke today included mention of his "vigorous masculinity". One in the eye for all those Leftist-feminists.

The old boy was also a climate change sceptic. That must have really pissed off Charles.

Hi Foxy
Yes Prince Harry is on his way to Phil's private (30 person) funeral at St George's Chapel, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_George%27s_Chapel,_Windsor_Castle Re Duchess Suss-Sex of Hollywood People are being polite about Meghan not coming. "She's pregnant" is the excuse. But actually Meghan wouldn't be welcome, after she bagged the Royal Family, in front of the whole world, at the Oprah interview. Meg is genuinely hated by many of the UK public. She's an American gold digger and seen as a Harry (no longer a working Royal) stealer. Harry, without her, might be able to mend some fences at/around the funeral http://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-04-11/prince-harry-homecoming-chance-for-royal-family-to-heal/100061530 _________________________ Hi Issy So where/when did you meet Duke Phil? __________________________ Hi Indi Yeah Phil was great at one liners. I think Phil would prefer being remembered for his humour rather than being cried over. Seeing all his dead naval comrades in WWII he would have seen every extra year as a bonus...and he lived 2 months shy of 100. HERE'S MORE PHIL QUOTES “It looks as if it was put in by an Indian” – pointing at an old-fashioned fusebox in a factory near Edinburgh in 1999. “You are a woman, aren’t you?” – in Kenya in 1984, after accepting a small gift from a lean, muscular, local woman. “If you stay here much longer, you’ll all be slitty-eyed” – to British students in China, during the 1986 state visit. “Your country is one of the most notorious centres of trading in endangered species in the world” – in Thailand in 1991, after accepting a conservation award. MORE TO COME Posted by plantagenet, Sunday, 11 April 2021 12:38:24 PM

Hiya tt
Do you have anything more than your endlessly repeated caustic Talking Points to contribute? Here you are tt, the old bearded-bitter one, of unchanging slogans http://youtu.be/URTj4naIdAs?t=31 Posted by plantagenet, Sunday, 11 April 2021 12:52:56 PM

Hi Pete,
A bit more information on the funeral: According to the web Prince Philip's ceremonial royal funeral will take place at 3.00pm local time (12.00 am Sunday AEST) with only 30 people in attendance because of COVID. It will be televised. And PM Boris Johnson won't be attending to allow room for family members. It's been confirmed that Prince Harry will attend. (YAY!). The service will be preceded by a national minutes silence but there won't be any public access or a public procession before the funeral. However the funeral will feature a purpose-built Land Rover that the Prince helped design which will take his coffin from the State Entrance at Windsor Castle to the 500 year old St. George's Chapel while flanked by military pall bearers. Members of the royal family and the Prince's household will walk behind in a procession to the chapel. After the funeral the Prince's coffin will be interred in the Royal Vault inside St George's Chapel. It's the final resting place for monarchs. 10 British sovereigns are interred there including Henry VIII. Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 11 April 2021 1:58:04 PM

On the Duke's climate views, he once invited Professor Plimer to London to address a climate change discussion held under HRH's name. A palace dogsbody had the invitation withdrawn because the Monarchy could not be seen to be involved in politics, including the highly charged area of climate.
Now, however, Prince Charles and the stripling William are very much involved in the politics of climate change. On a different side from Ian Plimer, of course. What a bunch of hypocrites - ones the Duke would probably be relieved to have left. The Poms want Charles passed over for William. They would be better off getting rid of the lot of them now that Philip has gone, and the Queen cannot be far behind. All the mystery and aloofness of the Royals will be totally absent soon. And who needs another privileged rich family behaving like everyone else. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 11 April 2021 1:59:48 PM
