I spoke about Peta Credlin earlier. The Coalition
needs some strong women like her in their ranks. Labor has Penny Wong, Kristina Keneally, Tanya Plibersek - all of whom voice their opinions strongly. The Coalition's women seem to simply follow the PM's lead of - shut up, and protect the party at all costs. From the Coalition there seems an astonishing collective will to act. The Coalition can do it. If Labor did it despite its union based bloke culture, so can the Coalition if it wants to win votes. Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 31 March 2021 3:40:15 PM

Foxy,
Peter Dutton will need to be a good Defence Minister because from the looks of this we might be soon at war with the Chinese: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/australia/chinese-fighter-pilot-says-taiwan-all-ours-after-being-asked-to-leave-airspace/vi-BB1f7yML By the looks of it the Chinese pilot let the cat out of the bag that China is ready to invade Taiwan. This is a precis of Terry Barnes's comments on the cabinet reshuffle. I thought you might appreciate the last line. Peter Dutton - defence - expected Karen Andrews - home affairs - unexpected Michaela Cash - attorney general - expected - BUT REALLY? Posted by ttbn, Wednesday, 31 March 2021 4:34:24 PM

Josephus,
You make a good case for solving fundamental problems with our society's underlying deficiencies. It is not easy to lead a 'good life' but this should always really be the goal for all of humanity, and is particularly important for parents to instill in their children. However you really need to keep your views on abortion to yourself for this is a vexed issue of 'women's right to self-determination'. Too often religious teaching illuminating and extolling virtue, honour, empathy, ethics and respect for others makes an error by going one step too far, expecting people to be perfect, or expecting them to perfectly align with all the edicts and postulations of that religious viewpoint. We must all remember to 'live and let live'. Humans are fundamentally fallible and a 'step too far' can so easily cause them to reject 'the whole'. So many problems in the world, with supposed followers of the peaceful teachings of Buddhism in Myanmar firstly undertaking near genocide on the Rohingya and now bombing the non-Buddhist Karen as purported terrorists. Self-interest unfortunately can so often trump virtue, irrespective of purported 'religious following'. Mr O, The homo deviants in Canberra are admin staff, not MP's. Get a grip. Your deviousness is only exceeded by your ignorance. Et Al: Scomo is a gentle and virtuous family man, which causes him to avoid descending to the muddy levels so often the home-base and natural inclination of his opponents. Give the man some respect for 'the content of his character' - to borrow from M L King Jnr. Let he who is without sin caste the stones - which lets so very many out, IMHO! Brittany Higgins a total innocent? Simply, a silly girl? Someone suggests girls and females generally exercise a reasonable level of decency in their choices and behaviour in an endeavour to avoid unwanted attention or worse, and such a promoter of self-control is immediately labelled a misogynist? Give us a break! Virtue is for all, in public and private life, and in Parliamentary precincts. No exceptions, male or female. Posted by Saltpetre, Thursday, 1 April 2021 2:13:12 AM

Saltpetre,
You come across to me as an LNP deviant. So of course you are going to defend the LNP whether they be pollies, staffers, bureaucrats, or grassroots supports. Now say "Got any photos of your wife in the nude? Want to buy some?" Posted by Mr Opinion, Thursday, 1 April 2021 6:10:10 AM

I agree with you. Peter Dutton will make an excellent
defence minister. I also agree that Peta Credlin would
make a good adviser to the PM. As you point out with
her acumen and experience - she's the type of female
the Coalition needs in Canberra.
