What's with the dot after each word?

Who knows what these female activists want. They are not normal, majority women, who don't go berserk in the streets. To the average Australian - man or woman - the idea of 'dealing with' an accusation of rape based on notes 33 years ago by a dead woman who suffered from bipolar disorder and false memories that go with the condition is bizarre; knocked in the head by the NSW police as it deserved.

It's trendy to be a victim these days and, without sex and race, loser wannabes would not get their five minutes of fame. There will always be 'needy' people, but the neediness is not due to their sex. It is discriminatory to put women in the position of being victims or of needing special treatment. The victim culture is making all women seem weak and irrational, which is not true.

Rights to be free of molestation are not recognised by bad men - especially when alcohol has been taken by both parties. And, browbeating good men - the majority- will not change that. Demonstrations are not going to remove the tendency of some bad men to assault women; they are merely political, feel good exercises.

Our third rate PM started off resisting the mob baying for another tier for our justice system. Now he is emoting, apologising for something he hasn't done, and yabbering about female quotas in the party - thereby ensuring that the Liberals would have less useful candidates of the sort that infest Labor and the Greens; and overlooking the fact that the 'baddies' in the Higgins case were women, bar one, who remains innocent until proven guilty.

Feminists have conflated how society really is with how they feel society should be, thus giving young women a false impression of reality, which stops them from acting in ways that will protect them from bad men.

Our laws are sufficient to deal with sexual crimes now.

Foxy,

I think if Soot was a man of principle he would oust Laming from Parliament.

But I think he is more interested in keeping a majority government than promoting the position of women and eliminating sexual deviancy from the ranks of the LNP.

Laming won't resign until the next election instead of now in order that Soot can hang on to his parliamentary majority.

I think that sort of lack of principle is as low as sexual deviancy and the abuse of women.

How to get all this to stop?

Hold an election. Since the whole thing is a beat-up to try to help that side of politics favoured by those pushing the over-wrought claims, once an election is over with, there'll be no reason to continue the campaign.

Then they can go back to complaining about Adani, or lack of transgender representation in the space programme or whatever whine they next have lined up.

"The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that a person can’t be found guilty of sexually assaulting someone who is intoxicated if that person willingly ingested drugs or alcohol"

Imagine if that sort of commonsense law applied in Canberra. Brittany would be responsible for getting sh!tfaced and then consenting to sex instead of being able to claim rape two years later. Did she consent? We don't know but there's zero evidence that she didn't and given that she willingly accompanied her friend back to Parliament House and into the minister's office, we can assume there was consent up to a certain level. But in the world of victimhood, 'no' means 'no' and 'yes' can retrospectively mean 'no'.

But she said it was rape and we're supposed to believe all women.... except when they accuse the wrong bloke - Shorten, Biden, Hilary's husband.

So how do we fix this? Institute commonsense laws.

Its claimed that Laming 'harassed ' a women by asserting that she was stealing from her charity. OMG the humanity! Well, if its demonstrably true that what he said was a lie, let her sue. Based on the media's reaction she'd win hands down. But she's not suing, is she. We all should be able to work out why

I don’t think that Morrison would call an election now; if he did, he would lose it. The real no-values, ‘pragmatic’, do-anything-to-stay-in-power politician is finally there for all to see.

We genuine conservatives have always known what a dud he is. But now, with his loss of his small majority due to his knifing of Kelly, his obvious bungling of the women’s issue ( which he should never have allowed to be an issue in the first place), his handing over of running the the country to a bunch of power-crazed state premiers, and his self-obsession (talks too much about himself and his family) and his going to water on a long tradition of no candidate quotas - I would say that he is toast . Merely not being Turnbull or Bill Shorten no longer cuts the mustard. I would think that even the anything-is-better-than-Labor thinkers would be having serious second thoughts about the man now.

This. Problem is. Easiy. Fixable:
On your iPad:

A list of things to turn on and off will appear. At the bottom of that list is "." Shortcut
Turn it off!
Doing so will enable you to type normal sentences on your iPad.

As for your modem, have you tried turning it off and on again?

I'd prefer him to resign, but I'd rather see him remain than get disqualified. MPs should not have the power to decide who remains an MP, and we certainly shouldn't nationally replicate the shameful situation they had in Victoria a few years ago.

Hi Foxy,

I am somewhat cynical of Morrisons new army of female generals, and his formation of another committee to deal with the "Women's problem". I note ScumO, Hayseed McCormack, Friedbrain and Glove Puppet Birmingham are also on the committee, don't want these sheilas running amok, now do we, and heaven forbid, making real binding decisions. Morrison from day one has treated this as a political problem with a "Don't ask don't tell attitude." If Morrison was the "New Messiah" of women then why has he for more than a year failed to act on the Kate Jenkins 'Respect@Work Report` on workplace harassment. The government has not acted on one, not one, of the 55 recommendations in the report. In fact ScumO' said he hadn't even bothered to read the million dollar report, shows what he really thinks of these women's issues. As does his response to the Andrew Laming matter. Take it from ScumO', women are of the upmost importance to him, but not as important as his one seat majority in the parliament.

Paul1405,

I think he's probably saying to the LNP blokes "Why don't women stay at home, look after the kids, and cook the dinners just like Jen? All this running around saying 'I got raped here and he raped her' and telling lies about LNP blokes masturbating on office desks isn't good for our manly image and if those women don't stop going on about these things it won't be good for them either" (smirk) (blokes laughing in the background).

The problem has always been there it is part of the new equivalent BLM agenda. Until Respect can be held for both self and others the problem will exist in this age of sexual freedom, now taught in schools on learning what is sexual consent. Rubbish curriculum. Abstinence and respect the only values answer.

They sit there for hours on end.

How do you stop them from drinking?

A comic suggestion could be to train sniffer dogs to smell
Alcohol. Send the dogs into parliament to point out

After given number of expulsions they would be banned from the

What happens if they happen to be sober-as-a-judge LNP sex deviants?

That's alright is it? They get to stay. Just as long as they can walk a straight line while masturbating over someone's desk.

Maybe we should have some sort of demerit system: photo-shooting up a girl's dress costs one 1 point, masturbating on a desk costs one 5 points, and raping someone in the boss's office lands one 10 points.

The problem exists across society, it is not just politicians that are the ones causing the problem. The whole sexualizing of education, acceptance of immoral behaviors and violence as entertainment and lack of any moral chastity values and respect of ones self and of others in relationships is the problem. Sexual lust has destroyed many societies before today, the murder of infants in the womb identifies a society that does not value another's life.

There are no moral standards taught in society, whereas the 10 commandments were given for society to live by, but I can say very few accept them or live by them, they think they are out of date. However they were given to build a pure and functioning society, of loving virtue and caring for one's neighbor.

Mr, O you are an ignorant person, as what is happening in society is also happening in its administration. Clean up Society and its representatives will be clean. You are not a sociologist otherwise you would understand the principles, the leaders of society is reflected by the state of the society. It is not exclusive to one political party, it exists in them all. However like you the Left wing Media is focused on the government in the hope they will fall.

Right living exalts a Nation, evil behavior destroys it. You are part of the watchers clapping your hands hoping the Government falls, which places you as party to approving their crimes, instead of being disgusted at the state of society.

There are occupations now that have random drug and alcohol testing. My son is regularly subjected to such tests before starting a shift. State Transit have a zero tolerance policy, you fail you're out, no if's or but's. Once the son had a Trainee, they came up and tested him, failed, he had a very short career as a bus driver. A complaint from the union, seen the "Drug Squad" as they call them, come one morning and test staff other than drivers, including the Depot Manager, he passed but took it as an affront that HE should be tested in such a way.

Random breath testing in Parliament House would be a good idea, all staff including MP's should be subjected to a drug and alcohol ban. Poor old Barnyard Joy with his purple face, they'd pick him every time. "I'm not drunk, its my natural colour....PURPLE!"

What we do need for Federal Parliament is an ICAC, they would find a lot more than a bottle of booze in some MP's bottom draw.

I see mr. O is still uneducated and not accepting the cause of the social problem, he is standing by like a six year old clapping his hands with glee that a Democratically elected Government will fall to a socialist world view. He is blind to sexual perversion happening in every other circle where people meet together. It is this behaviour the worship of sex [Baal] that destroys a society. Society needs moral boundaries to survive and the enemy knows that to remove all social boundaries destroys that society. Sacrifice unwanted children to Molech in the hope of a better life, it is still happening in 2021.

Ms. Cash is as rough as bags, to use an old expression; always shouting at or about someone. I don't know what qualifications she brings to the position of AG, but dignity is certainly not one of them.

Morrison's reactions to this beatup about women and his elevation of the likes of Cash, are starting to look like death throes.

Foxy,

Look at this on one of Soot's new appointees:

http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/our-new-assistant-minister-for-women-has-a-shocking-track-record-on-gender/ar-BB1f6apA?ocid=msedgntp

This has just got to stop. Someone has to draw the line in the sand. Things are just going from bad to worse.

On Cash, she's just another lawyer. But one thing she has that the others don't have: hair that never moves. Have a look for yourself if you don't believe me. It's funnier than the way she talks.

Mr O,

I am not sure why the PM chose Cash for the top law job.

Leaving her appearance aside her record is not a distinguished
One.

She did support 😂 the PM against Turnbull so perhaps this appointment
Is a reward.

In any case she was not a good choice.

I am sure there must be someone better in the Liberal Party who
Has a legal background and a better image.

As AG they may have to deal with international matters where
Appearance and legal knowledge matters.

Here's another of today's news items (this one re Grace Tame) on the new appointee Amanda Stoker:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9420273/Australian-Year-Grace-Tame-slams-Scott-Morrisons-Assistant-Minister-women-Amanda-Stoker.html?ito=push-notification&ci=112970&si=28036895&ai=9420273

This is just absolutely disgraceful. WHAT THE HELL IS SOOT UP TO?

What is he planning next? Jen as UN Ambassador for Women. Might as well, he can't do any worse from here on.

Someone has got to put a stop to this LNP deviancy madness! It's just getting out of control.

Hi Mr O,

The Daily Mail link you have given is concerning.

I have every confidence in Grace Tame and I believe she is honest.

I have no idea why the PM would select an inappropriate for the
Job of looking after women and their rights especially someone who
Has sided with the perpetrators in the past.

To me it looks like the PM is simply playing a political game which is
A Pity.

I think that the PM has been listening to the
wrong advisers. Also he's got to placate
the influential people within his own party
if he wants to stay on as a leader. His position
is not an easy one. No one's is, in his shoes.
It's all a question of appearing to placate
people whether it's women, or the men in his own
party. Trying to do both - he'll end up losing both
as you suggest Mr O.

But resigning I don't think for him is an option.
Or for the party for that matter. Would you rather
see the return of Peter Dutton? I don't think any
of us would.

Sorry, Foxy. I would have liked to see Dutton as PM. I'm pleased that he is now defence minister.

As for Morrison's silly comment about Ms. Payne being a good 'minister' for women, well it was ... very silly. The PM is supposed to have overall responsibility for ALL Australians, women and men. Morrison keeps putting his foot in it and actually insulting women, suggesting that they need special treatment. He should listen to Peta Credlin, with all her experience of working in Canberra.

I agree with you. Peter Dutton will make an excellent

the Coalition needs in Canberra.

I spoke about Peta Credlin earlier. The Coalition
needs some strong women like her in their ranks.
Labor has Penny Wong, Kristina Keneally, Tanya
Plibersek - all of whom voice their opinions
strongly. The Coalition's women seem to simply
follow the PM's lead of - shut up, and protect
the party at all costs. From the Coalition there
seems an astonishing collective will to act.

The Coalition can do it. If Labor did it despite
its union based bloke culture, so can the Coalition
if it wants to win votes.

Peter Dutton will need to be a good Defence Minister because from the looks of this we might be soon at war with the Chinese:

Josephus,
You make a good case for solving fundamental problems with our society's underlying deficiencies. It is not easy to lead a 'good life' but this should always really be the goal for all of humanity, and is particularly important for parents to instill in their children.
However you really need to keep your views on abortion to yourself for this is a vexed issue of 'women's right to self-determination'. Too often religious teaching illuminating and extolling virtue, honour, empathy, ethics and respect for others makes an error by going one step too far, expecting people to be perfect, or expecting them to perfectly align with all the edicts and postulations of that religious viewpoint.
We must all remember to 'live and let live'. Humans are fundamentally fallible and a 'step too far' can so easily cause them to reject 'the whole'.

So many problems in the world, with supposed followers of the peaceful teachings of Buddhism in Myanmar firstly undertaking near genocide on the Rohingya and now bombing the non-Buddhist Karen as purported terrorists. Self-interest unfortunately can so often trump virtue, irrespective of purported 'religious following'.

Mr O,
The homo deviants in Canberra are admin staff, not MP's.
Get a grip. Your deviousness is only exceeded by your ignorance.

Et Al: Scomo is a gentle and virtuous family man, which causes him to avoid descending to the muddy levels so often the home-base and natural inclination of his opponents. Give the man some respect for 'the content of his character' - to borrow from M L King Jnr.

Let he who is without sin caste the stones - which lets so very many out, IMHO!

Brittany Higgins a total innocent? Simply, a silly girl?
Someone suggests girls and females generally exercise a reasonable level of decency in their choices and behaviour in an endeavour to avoid unwanted attention or worse, and such a promoter of self-control is immediately labelled a misogynist?
Give us a break!
Virtue is for all, in public and private life, and in Parliamentary precincts. No exceptions, male or female.

Got it! The best way to solve the problems in parliament house is to put a limit on the time any and all politicians can serve (or serve themselves as most of them do). They all get stale after a couple of terms, particularly the party hacks in safe seats. There is not one politician currently in parliament, state or federal, who would be missed if he or she was replaced today.

There is currently an astonishing absence of outrage,

Your wife's not wrong ttbn.

However in Ms Tame's criticism of Senator Amanda Stoker
the criticism is understandable. Senator Stoker is the
new Assistant Minister for women and she has in the past
showed more supporter for perpetrators than victims.

Her previous support of Betina Arndt who interviewed
the paedophile convicted of abusing Ms Tame when Ms Tame
was a student was awful. Ms Tame said Senator Stoker was
entitled to her opinion but warned against giving abusers
power.

I worry about these issues that are dividing Australians.
It should not be a woman versus men or men versus women
issue. We need to not only be better ourselves but to
call out others for it.

Josephus,
God gave all 'free will', but you say NO, and so condemn your edict through bias.
Whilst 'Men' continue to accept the preaching(s) of individuals with the intellectual competence of a 'gnat' so long will prejudice and intolerance condemn humankind to ignorance and corruption.

ttbn,
Your contributions continue to extol your bigotry and your complete disregard for honesty and integrity.
" There is not one politician currently in parliament, state or federal, who would be missed if he or she was replaced today."
"A truism from my early morning reading today: "Parliament is all arse and no class"."
I so look forward to your 'gems' - not.

Foxy,
Taking Grace Tame's postulations of complete innocence and of profound insight is akin to accepting Kim Jong Un as a new Messiah.
Sorry mate. And, equating Kristina Kineally with Peta Credlin and Tanya Plibersek is akin to equating Andrew Lamming with the Dalai Lama.

Amanda Stoker and Michaelia Cash are worthy and competent representatives.
It is truly incredible that scurrilous, self-serving and demonstrably idiotic 'gossip' from the likes of Grace Tame should be viewed with any credence whatsoever. But, such is the predilection of 'woke' prejudice - and so totally indicative of the Aussie' Tall Poppy Syndrome.
Bah, humbug.
People need to seek validity before jumping to conclusions - or of accepting malicious 'gossip' as 'rote'.

Mark Latham writes that sex has been "weaponised" to "get at and bring down" Scott Morrison. None of the allegations aired in Canberra will result in criminal convictions. It is all about power and party politics; and Morrison has walked into the trap by welcoming the rabid woke activists into his life (he has said that he doesn't care how woke people are), and he is happy to be judged by them. They will "cut him down".

Latham reckons that Morrison is an appeaser: who feeds the crocodile hoping that it will eat him last.

Mr Mark Latham, what he writes in some far right publication, or in your members only page of One Nation is of little consequence to the vast majority of Australians. I'm sure Latham, when he was in Canberra, did as the Romans did in such a place. As for his jerk off conspiracy theory, which seem to be never ending from the far right of politics, that somehow the woman's issue, particularly in the Liberal Party, is some kind of "Communist plot" to bring down Morrison is absurd. The only people who would want to bring down Morrison and replace him a dud like Dutton are you folk from the extreme.

I would like to see politicians spend more time in the parliament in open debate, and the government spending less time telling us how great they are by answering Dorothy Dix questions from its own members. I think parliament should set aside a time for the general community through the Speaker to ask questions of the members. BTW at the moment the Australian Parliament has one of the best Speakers ever in Tony Smith. Smith a Liberal is extremely fair, but keeps a tight grip on things. I actually like some Liberals, Ken Wyatt Minister for Aboriginal Affairs is doing a very good job, despite rabid opposition to all things Aboriginal from within in own party. I particularly like the performance of the Minister for Health Greg Hunt during the pandemic. There are one or two other Liberals within the government who I consider are doing their best as well.

People like them think money is God.

Sad part is that the money usually happens to belong to the taxpayers or in the case of mining magnates it just happens to belong to indigenous people whom a magnates' ancestors and forbears tried to eradicate from the land.
