o sung wu,
right on there mate; a couple of the physically toughest infantrymen that I knew didn't pass selection for the SAS. My one-time Platoon Commander, when he was a Lieutenant, eventually became their Commanding Officer. Posted by Is Mise, Saturday, 20 March 2021 10:02:14 PM

Paul,
I'm surprised that you still haven't leap at the opportunity to explain to all of us just why the Greens and the rest of the rainbow need these centuries-old words and expressions changed. Instead, you chose to try a bit of wool pulling and attacking the messanger. Posted by Is Mise, Saturday, 20 March 2021 10:05:43 PM

Hi Issy,
Cause I'm not particularly in agreement with the use of gender neutral words. Like Foxy I'm willing to stick to what I know, but if you insist I refer to you as the 'Bottom Feeding Hairy Arse Wombat Of No Particular Gender' I'll do so, but its a bit of a mouth full, so I might just stick to Issy. As for Roberts and his grandstanding in the Senate, so be it. The guys been about 4 years a Senator, this will go down as his one and only contribution to the betterment of Australian society. As a Senator the guys a waste of space, compared to the efforts put in by others. Take Jacqui Lambie for instance, a person I don't always agree with politically, Jacqui puts in ten times the effort of the slug Roberts, and as a Senator she gives value for money. Sure this kind of grandstanding by Roberts appeals to the forums Mr Old Farts, I'm being gender pacific there. However there are greater issues of concern, such as the racists hate speak that blokes like Roberts engage in, and the consequences of that kind of crap. Good Morning Paul,
I thought I'd post early as I'm having problems with the internet so I'll get in while it's still working. We can discuss language as much as we want - however I think most of us will use words that we're comfortable with no matter what others may tell us we should do the same applies to who we should or should not accommodate. It's part of who we are I guess, the way we've been brought up, and what we think is right. Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 21 March 2021 7:26:48 AM

A bit of a laugh from the Monty Python mob on this subject. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFBOQzSk14c&ab_channel=PkLugia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2c-X8HiBng&ab_channel=Browningate Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 21 March 2021 7:40:56 AM

These ANU people wouldn't last ten minutes on a normal Army Recruit Course at Kapooka, let alone the SAS and their tough selection criteria
