"What is of far greater concern to me is when a bigoted, racists from the extreme uses hate speak to racially vilify a minority, such as Asians. The consequences of such leads a predisposed gun toting nutter like Robert Long to murder eight people in Atlanta USA."
How do you know he was motivated by racism? http://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/03/17/us/shooting-atlanta-acworth "Mr. Long was a member of the Crabapple First Baptist Church in Milton, Ga., where records say he was a member of the church’s Student Ministry Team in 2018. A post on the church’s now-deleted Facebook page appears to indicate that he was baptized as an adult in 2018. Brett Cottrell, the youth and missions pastor at Crabapple First Baptist between 2008 and 2017, described Mr. Long as one of the most committed members of the church’s youth group at the time. The group met multiple times a week and took summer trips to do volunteer work in Pittsburgh and New Orleans, among other locations." How do you know he was motivated by racism and not religious beliefs? Or that he hated women because they made him feel weak and pathetic? How do any of us know what his motivation was for him shooting up the local massage parlors? You're speculating at best until some actual facts come in. He might've been high on who knows what or not been taking his meds, how do any of us know? ... And hang on a minute; HANG ON - People using hate speak to vilify Asians caused Robert Long to murder 8 people you say? Lets pretend I said a derogatory slant word against Asians - And then some unstable religious nutcracker in a different country shoots up their local massage parlor, and its somehow my fault? How do you make this connection? "Roberts may not fire the gun, but his type sure load the bullets." No. I'm actually pretty certain the kid loaded the gun himself and fired the bullets himself as well. I'd be willing to bet Malcolm Roberts was nowhere near the place and had absolutely nothing to do with it. Posted by Armchair Critic, Saturday, 20 March 2021 5:32:08 PM

Foxy, I honestly wish I knew the terms of reference and beliefs you were raised on.
I have a sister in law, very similar to yourself, and yes she married a very nice guy, just like herself, and they are both the sweetest kindest most helpful people you will ever find, AND they are very, very active, and have risen to a high status in their chosen church and religion. All this is just wonderful, IF you do not expose yourself to anything untoward or evil, such as what actually goes on, everywhere, in every country, state, city, town or location. They believe everything and everyone is just rosy and fine and dandy and if you pray to God or Jesus and so on, everything will be fine. RUBBISH! I don't try to tell them the truth about what's going on out there and they would reject it anyway. They don't watch the news, and if they did they play down anything that they don't like, with some kind of religious platitude. Firstly we DO NOT have to respect anyone who shows no respect. Secondly, if you ever got your head out of whatever fantasy land you live in, you will find that your faith in the law and legal system, is not only unfounded, but also completely and utterly corrupted, thereby rendering it a burden to society and not a savior. In closing, if we are not in a position to judge others, who is? Just as an aside, that's why we have jury's! And don't anyone dare say that we must not judge when there are those who have malicious intents on us. Do we not judge them? Do we turn the other cheek giving them full freedom to do what they choose to us? NO! Speaking for myself and my ilk, I will respect those who respect me! BTW, you pulled a typical Foxy move. You did not answer my question about what rights you are eluding to, that we are denying them! Posted by ALTRAV, Saturday, 20 March 2021 5:42:50 PM

hey Foxy,
"I grew up knowing about two main genders, male and female. In today's world we have people who are transgender. Are we to deny them their rights?" We can't accommodate their wants without denying everyone else's rights. - That's the bottom line - Mums being indoctrinated to refer to breastfeeding as chestfeeding to accommodate what? Some nut that thinks men can produce milk from their own mammories too? What exactly? Because someone in the other 71 made-up genders is offended by the idea that normal babies get nourishment from an actual womens breast? 'Birthing parent' and 'Non-birthing parent' Do you want your 18 year old grandkids banned from using the terms 'boyfriend and girlfriend'? Tell me where does 'acknowledging their rights'; - Or whatever the hell that means actually get us? What kind of blank cheque are we signing here? People who think there is something different from XX and XY chromosone - Just may be short a few chromosones This from the same lot that tells you men can now have periods Foxy, Does me laughing my head off at this suggestion insult their sensibilities? Yes it does because somehow they believe all this crazy nonsense is true. How do we accommodate and embrace pure madness Foxy? - Well you tell me and then well both know. Apparently I'm not allowed to think for myself. - Because that would make me a bigot, homophobe and every other bloody word they can come up with; For no other real reason than because I don't think they same way they do and they're not getting their way. From what I've read it appears that it was ANU
(Australian National University) in Canberra, that has released a handbook for staff and students as to what they consider acceptable language to be used in teaching. Their claim is to be "inclusive" to all. Using terms like "chest feeding" or "gestational parent" I feel is not going to take off. It will only confuse things even further. AC,
I don't disagree with you at all. Especially after reading the ANU article. It is nuts! Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 20 March 2021 6:03:39 PM

no matter what their race, religion, gender, or anything else
may be. I don't think that we are in any position to judge others.
And if their demands are indeed beyond reason and common sense -
it's up to our laws to determine what course of action should be taken.
