I'm not concerned, as I said about trivial words on paper. Our forum friends and those of their political ilk, like Roberts, want to push back to the good old days, when people who were different; gays, Aboriginals, the homeless, migrants, anyone who went against the established order were seen as fair game. Often the retribution took the form of a bashing from the coppers. A time when it was seen as a mans world, and women were discriminated against and treated as chattels. Women in violent domestic situations were rendered helpless, ignored by authorities, and copped abuse from all quarters. These guys want nothing better than a return to those of the good old days. Well, those days are not for me.

I'm pleased to see there are still some reasonable, mature, pragmatic, and logical people with common sense, even a sense of right and wrong, who, like myself, will NOT be swayed by emotional and illogical threats of virtue signaling, in a vain attempt to push their unwanted, and un-acceptable diatribe driven agenda.
Does anyone else know what rights we have deprived these poor depraved souls of, as it seems Foxy has reached that un-assailable question/wall once more, yet has plenty to say in defense of the great untouchables, except when it comes to explaining her reasoning or what her accusations and allegations are based on.
It seems a standard M.O. so I won't expect an answer from her, any time soon.
Although if someone else can actually read her mind and understands her, please, and by all means, do tell.

I think Canberra is getting too obsessed with language.
Personally, most of us will continue to use language that we're
comfortable with ourselves. "Gestational parent?" what on
earth does that even mean? Same goes for "chest feeding."

Don't be too concerned about people on OLO.
Being absent for a while, I've missed so many of them.
Besides - they're only opinions. And we all have them.
That's what makes this forum interesting.

As far as I am concerned, no one is entitled to anything, except for air, just because they were born. Anyone can have my respect & indeed admiration, if they earn it.

Wonks such as the ANU twits need to get a bit of practical common sense knocked into them. A tour of duty with the SAS would be perfect to educate these twits.

Does anyone know anything about the "Gender
Institute" at ANU in Canberra? They're the ones
that apparently produced the booklet of instruction
for staff and students on what language to use
in teaching. Perhaps they're trying to justify
their work? I don't think they'll get any brownie
points for their list of what's acceptable.
