Thanks Mr Opinion- That got a laugh.

Loudmouth- Your site says ... "First published in 2013; most recent substantial revision in May 2019.... The world population increased from 1 billion in 1800 to 7.7 billion today."

Answer-

Anyway it's my personal belief that there are too many people in the world. This is indicated by global migration patterns, fresh water supplies, congestion, endangered species, decline in the value of people, introduction of broad based tyrannical laws on the basis of economies of scale/ necessity, reduction in personal space/ living space, etc, etc.

These sites are interesting...
http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/
http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/#table-historical

According to site-
Current population 7.846 Billion
The historical table indicates that population is currently growing at about 1.02% reducing at about 0.02% per year- currently growing at 81.3 million/ year (without the corona effect- could mean a higher birth rate which doesn't show up for 9 months- of course it also could mean a higher death rate that shows up immediately- see site below).

Canem Malum,

Are you making the argument for the re-introduction of cannibalism?

Mr O, remember the great Bogan philosopher Confusion said last Wednesday; "It all tastes like chicken when it is cooked." That roughly translate to "@#%$ &^%% *$#@# #$ *&^$".

Paul1405 said- Canem Malum,Are you making the argument for the re-introduction of cannibalism?

Answer- I said what I said. Interesting Paul1405's question about cannibalism given his left leaning views in the context of claimed cannibalism in Mao's china- not to mention the deaths of ten's of million's in his cultural cleansing. That's not to say that Paul1405 intends to kill ten's of million's of people in his pursuit of ideology- but I'd ask him to think carefully about the direction of his policies in order to prevent such a future catastrophe.

It's interesting how the communists talked about stopping fascism and racism and inequality in the 1920's before proceeding to kill millions of people.

The communists generally counter by talking about the world wars that also killed millions of people and that they were created by the fascist elites and industrialists- all the while creating an unassailable elite- protected by armies and spies- unanswerable to those far below their tower.

Lest we forget...

But cannibalism is an interesting question and highlights the bottomless degradation possible in an infinitely dangerous chaotic world without the borders and people that protect us in our sphere of safety.

Many things are an exercise in balance- and power.

Communists and Globalists are an interesting study in the use of power.

War creates thieves- peace hangs them.

The structure of Traditional Parochialism seems to have a way of correcting the imbalances in society in a way that Globalism doesn't.

I admire the simple village wisdom of my ancestors- bless my grandparents..

In a sense perhaps Aristotle's study of politics has caused it's invasion into all areas of life. Perhaps not what he intended- the errors of the unintended results of policy- a lesson for us all.

Perhaps the fallacious lesson of all that attend university is the misplaced belief that we can and should change the world. So the error is compounded to a whole line of pedagogy stretching to Socrates.

I still believe "the unexamined life is not worth living" but with a subtlety.

We often forget the human scale and the garden that it needs to grow.
