There's another thing that people don't know: Trumpf has always been interested in chemistry, and had a laboratory secretly built under the White House. So while a Trumpf double goes off, supposedly, to play golf, Trumpf himself has spent many sleepless nights working in his laboratory, trying to find a cure for this virus, and ultimately of course, for cancer. His findings are now being used by various pharma companies and will benefit the entire world. Not that Trumpf will admit to that, of course, being a sort of modern-day saint.

So despite his modesty, it can be revealed that Trumpf has found a cure for this Chinese virus, and it is now being mass-produced. He should be awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his contributions to humanity. And, of course, the Nobel Prize for Peace for pulling US troops out of Afghanistan, which will be announced shortly.

But will you ever see anything about this on communist networks like CNN, or the ABC ? Of course not.

So, you are playing the man instead of addressing the subject of my post. Pretty pathetic, mate. You should be commenting on Adam Bandt - one way or the other - not me. You might think he is the best thing since JC, which is your right, but trying to put me down is really weak and unproductive.

My "fixation", as you put it, on socialism, is not "misplaced". Socialism is a vicious creed, which has killed millions of people and ruined the lives of millions of others. I detest it, and make no bones about it.

You have obviously contracted the 'woke' disease and gone for the easy option - with the mob. You used to be a level headed and reasonable sort of bloke, with a sense of humour, worth reading even if I didn't agree with a lot you said. It's disappointing to find that you have gone over to the dark side.

Indeed it is, and Australia is badly infected with it, Flood and Bushfire relief, Medicare, Veterans' and Aged pensions, thank the Lord that the pernicious and character destroying Free Milk for school children is a thing of the past.
Public education and Public Hospitals need to go as well as State subsidized Fire Brigades (both city and country) and all those Charities that help the poor and needy.

User pays should be the watchword, and if your house catches fire then it should burn to the ground if you don't belong to a Fire Insurance Group.

The only nutter here is ttbn, engrossed with his political model of the ninetieth. He cannot understand the concept of a mixed political state where the failings and excesses of capitalism are tempered by the injection of state run socialism.

On Adam Bandt, coal and the South Koreans. Like all our major trading partners South Korea is looking for a pathway to carbon neutral by 2050, China 2060, Japan 2050 and US under Biden 2050. Long term investment in the Australia coal industry, and coal fired power stations, is a non goer. Government uncertainty, and the world outlook has seen investors withdraw from the industry, and turn to investing in renewables. The problem in Australia is not that we will lose the coal industry, that is going to happen whether we like it or not. What we should be doing in 2020 is looking to how best to reposition ourselves to take advantage of the changing world environment. Some conservative politicians are simply taking a head in the sand approach to the coal industry, with nothing more than an eye to the next election.
