As I was sayin "Time, and further comments, will tell."

So his last two comments have been rambling about Races, the Left and socialists.

Note as extreme as LEGO's Apartheid "scientific" Racism, but still a worry.

And as I said, Pete: some people here do not take in what they read. They have their own preconceived ideas, and they assume, rather than understand. They have a mental block against any opinions contrary to their own. Argument is futile. This is why I, generally, don't do discussions, why I don't bother to read most posts apart from those starting a discussion. It's a pity, because exchanges of opinion are said to produce the truth. Over many years, I have found that this does not occur on Online Opinion. You, I believe, are one of the posters most immune to ideas different from your own; the biggest giveaway being your liberal use of references, which you think are proof of what you say. They are not. Posters who use references that they think support their views have merely sort out information that confirms their pre-existing believes. They carefully avoid the equal number of references that oppose their views. I think that I have said this recently: "it is widely recognised that human reasoning is motivated by a desire to justify their biases rather than to achieve objective understanding of the world". But, I don't suppose anyone bothered to read that or took it in.

The fears that the Biden/Harris Whitehouse will be an extreme socialist affair have been confirmed with the appointment of Bernie Sanders as Biden's labour secretary. Unlike Australians, Americans can have any old unelected ratbag appointed by their President.

Hi Ttbn,

Thanks for your support for centrist policies.

I can't find any reference to Bernie Sanders' being offered a job with Biden, but I did find this:

http://www.marijuanamoment.net/bernie-sanders-and-elizabeth-warren-tout-marijuana-legalization-victories-as-they-push-biden-on-progressive-issues/

I'm not sure that support for the legalisation of marijuana is particularly 'Left', I'm certainly not interested in legalising it (although I'm a sort of left-centrist now). I'll keep looking for reference to Sanders as Labour Secretary though :)

Keep up the good work :)

Joe,

Don't talk rot, mate.

You wouldn't look at the same sources I do, and apparently the MSM hasn't caught up with the announcement. It will eventually, and I'm not going to tell you where I saw it. I have given up on including my sources because certain posters immediately discount the information as being from horrible right wing sites or commentators. Apart from passing on what I think people might be interested in, I no longer care whether they believe it or not, care about it or not.

Ttbn,

Hmmmm ....... seems like we'll have to drag you kicking and screaming, towards the centre where you obviously, if unconsciously, would like to be :)

I've seen a reference that Bernie was interested in being the Secretary for Labor, but nothing yet about his being offered the job. Maybe your inside man got it wrong ?
