Hi Ttbn,

Wow ! I think you're becoming a - horrors ! - a centrist ! I'm inclined to go along with pretty much all of your last post.

Thank you.

Joe

Don't get carried away, folks. What is happening in America doesn't look good for the far-Left identify politics mob. And, I haven't changed in any way. I have never thought that it is immigrants or 'ethnics' who are the problem. Being anti-immigration doesn't mean I hold immigrants responsible for politicians' actions. The problem is the Leftists who are using them - the people who are exempt from their own ideology. The average immigrant is interested in quality of life and opportunities, not politics.

Re-read: "... working and middle-class voters who reject divisive identity politics, celebrate their nation, along with its values and history and freedom, and believe all work".

Now, does that sound like the sort of people I loathe? The ones who invented divisive politics; the Trump-haters and elites.

Once again, I have to wonder if some people here actually take in what they read. And, I'm certainly not looking for approbation from lefties.

And, what about white males backing off from Trump, while Afro-Americans, Latinos, women etc increased their support for Trump.

Did you miss that bit altogether? It's clear that immigrants to America appreciate what they have more than do rich, white elitists who want everyone else to do the socialist thing, without themselves suffering any losses to their wealth and privilege.

Funny how the people who Trump was supposed to have 'racist' and 'sexist' attitudes towards actually helped him in 2016, and increased that help in 2020.
