As for Tony Abbott being "a good bloke unsuited for
the filthy business of politics"? and that being the reason
for his failure as a former PM? Is rather questionable
when the man had a solid reputation as a "wrecking ball"
and simply thrived on division, aggression, and confrontation
even - from his early years in university. As testified by
the many who knew him then and since.

His reputation was even well known overseas - as Emily
Thornberry - British parliamentarian said:

that the appointment of a failed Australian Prime Minister was
a "humiliation"particularly given that Britain was hosting the
next round of global climate talks.

"On a personal level, I am disgusted that (Prime Minister)
Boris Johnson thinks this - offensive, leering, cantankerous,
climate-change denying, Trump-worshipping, misogynist, is the
right person to represent our country overseas".

Thornberry added:

"He was ousted by his own colleagues after 2 years in power,
and kicked out of Australian politics by his own constituents
just last year".

"They are the people who knew him best, and they wanted to
get rid of him - yet here we are, hiring him to negotiate our
trade deals around the world. It it wasn't so downright
humiliating, it would be almost hilarious".

Tony Abbott may be laughing in London. But London certainly
won't be laughing for long - going by Mr Abbott's past record.

There is nothing like saying one thing before an election then not mention any thing like it after the election. Abbott was dismissed by public opinion and should have been hung before dawn for being such a caniving mongrel and an irresponsible liar.

I'm sensing that most of you are jealous of Tony Abbott because he has made a success of his life and is not a loser like you.

Most Australians
are sick and tired of the double standards and
hypocrisy involved in the behaviour of their
politicians and current government. One set of
rules for the privileged, another for the rest of
us. And Tony Abbott's life has been anything
but a success. He's stuffed up everything thus far.
And undoubtedly he'll stuff up this new job as well.

He tends to continually be on the wrong side of
things - from same-sex marriage to climate-change.
His constituents voting against him. And look where
he ended up. The same result will occur for Britain's
trade. Poor country will live to regret it.

The interview for the job could have all been settled
by SKYPE - no big deal - however - with Scott Morrison's
reaction of "good hire" commentary on the Abbott
appointment - makes it clear that for Morrison - to
have Abbott "anywhere but here" was a better option all
round with the least damage occurring for the Coalition
at the next election with Abbott away overseas.
Giving the man a travel exemption was an easy option to get
him out of the country.

Foxy,

Shame on you for criticising your betters viz Tony Abbott.

He helped make the Great Asianzation Period (1980-2020) in Australian history happen and you should be proud to call him a fellow Asian.

I don't know sometimes, there's just no pleasing you Foxy.

Mr Opinion,

Pleasing everyone is impossible, pissing them off -
a piece of cake.
