A blue is an award of sporting colours earned by athletes at some universities and schools for competition at the highest level. The awarding of blues began at Oxford and Cambridge universities in England. Posted by Canem Malum, Wednesday, 2 September 2020 2:48:59 PM

It seems that all you have to do to get a boxing
"blue"from Oxford is compete in annual matches against Cambridge. Still to be fair - love him or loathe him, Tony Abbott did make it to Oxford via a Rhodes Scholarship. He did complete his degree, regardless of his poor grades, and how he got the boxing blues. Whether this man has used that privileged education to his best advantage as Prime Minister is open to argument. Some people as we know are great students but their academic skills don't translate well to the real world. Others are naturally gifted but lack the drive to study while still others lack the smarts but with the right kind of nurturing can achieve great things. Others drop out of school and go on to be world leaders in their chosen fields. Therefore while student should certainly aim for the best results that they can achieve - life is more than the sum of marks. We certainly have not heard the last of Mr Abbott. And he shall continue to be judged by his performance in the future. Hopefully he will be judged by something more substantial than a graduation photograph from Oxford University. Foxy,
And others had a grand pop who built the best little whore house in the Klondike as a start-up for a hotel chain. Guess who! Posted by Mr Opinion, Wednesday, 2 September 2020 4:54:26 PM

The Mad Monk wants to put a price on the economic units as to their worth when it comes to corona virus. What's a rejected, broken down, ex useless PM worth, in my opinion, four fifths of you know what!
Tony do us all a favour, pack your bags, and get back from whence you came. I'm sure that other useless conservative, Bug Ridden Boris, will welcome you with open arms, and a good dose of ....! Posted by Paul1405, Wednesday, 2 September 2020 6:56:08 PM

Good, otherwise we would have had another Boris Yeltsin on our hands.
