Paul, heard an interesting item on BBC radio the other day on the
subject of shortage of respirators.
An international group of 3D printer users, individuals, companies etc
have a 3D design and they are producing them for free and giving them
to hospitals in the countries where they are domiciled. It appears that
they are operating on a large scale as a group.

Bazz,

At least the UK has manufacturers left who will be producing ventilators - Rolls Royce, Dyson etc - along with their core manufacturing. We don't have this, thanks to the de-industrialisation of the country in favour of Chinese, who have given us the virus.

A is a system composed of one or more solar panels combined with an inverter and other electrical and mechanical hardware that use energy from the Sun to generate electricity. PV systems can vary greatly in size from small rooftop or portable systems to massive utility-scale generation plants.it is the combination of Solar Panel Batteries in Perth, WA and Solar PV Inverter in Perth. There are different types of solar panel which is divided on the basis of capacity.10kW solar systems are a popular alternative energy solution for large residential homes and small offices. The 10kW Solar Panel Costs now often under $32,000 and after the 26% tax credit can fall to $24,000. Depending on the location where they are installed most 10kW solar systems have an average payback period of 5-6 years which can equate to a very impressive 15-20% annual return on investment .9kW Solar PV System in Perth, WA Low prices/ cost for 9kW off-grid solar panel, inverter and battery kit, installation & repair services.and the finally Despite what you might see advertised, a good quality 8kW Solar Power System starts at around $8,000-$9,000 fully installed with the potential to save you up to around $3400 a year on your power bills.

SR,

The last time I looked at the data, the reticulation system to the power generators and battery backup was not included in the cost and CO2 output. Given the variability of wind, the sizing of the reticulation to the wind generators needs to be sized for its full capacity or 3.5 times its average output whereas for nuclear it is closer to 1.3 times. If this is taken into account, with battery backup then Nuclear power has the lowest carbon footprint by a country mile.

Solar also has a major problem. Maximum output is only available at midday.
Unless you use tracking, but not suitable for rooftops.
It doesn't get out of bed until about 9am this time of year, provided
that it is not overcast as it is today.
Then it takes it easy for afternoon tea about 3pm. 2pm in winter.
It starts feeling very tied by 4pm and is fast asleep by 5pm except
when it is fooled by daylight saving time till 6pm.

Some say a jolt from a battery will help. Well true but then you need
more solar to charge the battery.
