AIDAN,
Yes, I have personally witnessed that & it's Labor Govts that generally do this & I always wondered what the Public servant who is being replaced then does. This LNP outfit has handed immigration over to private agents so, what to these immigration people do instead ?
Considering that 95% of public servants are Labor voters it's not at all surprising some decision-making has to be outsourced in order to keep the ball rolling. Sad but true !
Both parties & Labor in particular strayed too far off their original doctrine after infiltration by half-baked academic "experts" & the results are there to see for all.
The guilt industry is already primed for a Labor Govt.

The economy is not as good as we are being told
As to the question this thread asks?
This morning's polling 51/49b Shorten [still behind] picks up three points in the prefered PM
Morrison lost two
My question is, will we accept the voters choice?
Still think the slanted one sided view will be seen here for ever and ever

Belly,
That's right, they never divulge the real figures. This is why I believe in a third party controller.
The two majors have been so utterly saturated with parasites that neither of them can ever regain full integrity.
I mean, just look at Darwin Harbour given to the Chinese as well as a couple of airports in WA.
What would happen if Australia wanted to lay their hands on infrastructure in China or Japan or indeed, any other country. This insanity is only practised here & it's only made possible because of the people here being so insanely hung-up on the Dollar ! These are the same people we're forcing to vote.

Dear individual,

I'm sorry mate but to claim ABC and Fairfax bias just because of relationships of the staff is really drawing a long bow. It just doesn't work like that.

Besides the Murdoch press is by far and away the most powerful media organisation in this country eclipsing the ABC and Fairfax by a large margin.

The bulk of its mastheads are stridently LNP leaning and some like the Daily Mail are vociferously anti-Labour. They do not have the rules on balanced reporting the ABC has and just go for it.

By any measure if we were to strip away all media bias the LNP would be far poorer for it.

Time to stop the whinging.

Dear Hasbeen,

If the Liberals hadn't changed leaders at the rate of Labour and if they hadn't doubled down on the national debt that Labour had accrued during the GFC then they probably could have been in with a good chance of holding on to power. But when you act the same as the opposition things like fairness and equity get a chance to get a run and the LNP have been found wanting.

However since you are a man of principle and if Labour do get up you will not be holding your hand out for the $1,000 pensioner dental subsidy every two years.

SteeleRedux,
I can only comment on my personal experiences & these include watching nepotism in all three levels of Govt at close range. So, no drawing a long bow here !
