Philips S.,

Nonsense. We have had so many famous refugees
and asylum seekers, as well as migrants of
course, who have contributed to this country
so richly and still are. People like -
Dr Al Muderis, Majak Daw, Najeeba Wazefadost,
Osamah Sami, Tan le, Behrouz Boochani, and
many more. There's also those from the past - who came as
refugees including - Les Murray, Frank Lowy, Judy
Cassab, Harry Triguboff, Karl Kruszelnicki,
Anh Duo, and of course my own family.

These people gave and are giving much, much more than
they've ever received from any Australian government.
And they'll continue to do so. To say that they want to
be supported for life by the government is rubbish.
All asylum seekers want is a chance to work, live,
and be able to contribute. It's the ruthless politics
and a cruel and unjust imprisonment that's currently stopping
them.

Foxy Get it through your biased head this thread is asylum seekers.

As for nonsense Quote "Nonsense. We have had so many famous refugees
and asylum seekers,"

During Dudd and Dillard over 50,000 and you come back with This "Dr Al Muderis, Majak Daw, Najeeba Wazefadost, Osamah Sami, Tan le, Behrouz Boochani," six people if that is your version of "so many" you have just lost the plot.

I counter with six refugee criminals and raise you with 29 more refugee criminals. If I included the Sudanese, Africans it would be game over with hundreds more.

News flash Phil, when you have a group of say 50,000 people, be they refugees, or the entire population Gladstone Queensland, a random pick, nothing against the people of Gladstone. Some are going to be real low life scum buckets, as there are going to be some truly exemplary people among the 50,000 as well.
For argument sake we can find 1,000 of each group, your bias seems to want to tar the 48,000 in between with the same brush as the bottom 1,000 low life's, in fact you want to treat all 50,000 as guilty of the sins of that bottom 1,000.

Phil as a refugee hater you are always looking for reasons why on the whole they should not be in Australia, crime is only one reason you put up, you have others.

Philip S.,

I fully support what Paul has said.

We can take any national group who came to
this country as refugees or asylum seekers and we
will find criminals amongst them. But we
shall also find that the majority of them just want to
live, work, raise their families and contribute. And
as history has shown most of them have done just that.

This country was initially a penal colony - take a look
at its tumultuous history before you point the finger at asylum
seekers. Also take a look at this countries criminal past.
It's very revealing. Yet also look at the people who have made
it great and continue to do so. That's also revealing.

You're sounding hysterical in your posts telling me what
I should concentrate on. Why look only at the
negative instead of the positive of any
issue. Which is very limiting and narrow.
All I get from you is - your preference for conformity,
intolerance and insecurity. I expected more from you.
You attitude is very off-putting.
