Belly,
>It will be the day super Conservatives confront the truth, even true Liberals do not support them
I regard that as a remote possibility.

More likely they'll claim they didn't win because they weren't right wing enough, or they'll pin the blame on the "disloyalty" of the centrist members of their party.

Aiden more than likely true
I however look forward to the massacre after the defeat
As Liberal independents line up to take on sitting members, it is my vie that will continue
The danger to the ALPis a worldwide recession is in our future
And we will be blamed for it
Bet on it after the bloodbath a new stronger small l Liberal party will be born

Belly,
If there's a worldwide recession, the government of the day is still to blame for getting us caught in it. Recessions are avoidable, as the Rudd government showed during the GFC.

Whether the Liberal Party, or indeed any new party, will be stronger will depend largely on the stuffups of Labor.

Aidan,
Whichever Govt we get next doesn't have the luxury of a multi-billion Dollar Conservative created futures fund to squander like Rudd's Govt.

Aiden you will be aware under the present government our national debt is twice what it was the day they too over
And too indys statement while true, came about in the middle of a huge mining boom
Too that Howard wasted far more than he saved
In tax cuts such as franking credits [he introduced them]at a time they could be afforded, but that time has gone
The day after the election will be bleak for conservatives and much eyes wide open debate will take place

Belly,
I'm not at all surprised. Considering that thousands of Labor open border policy faux refugees were added, massive natural disasters are also adding to the snow-balling legacy of Labor mismanagement over decades.
Your beloved party fired the starting gun to economic woe in this Nation & now you claim they're going to kiss it all better ?
Wake up, they'll drag us so far down we won't be able to get up again. Blaming the Coalition is warranted for the Coalition's mismanagement but blaming them for the atrocious Labour legacy is literally lying to the citizens of this Nation !
