SteeleRedux Nice try but for your information I did not get it from the Courier Mail.

Quote "However for you to be painting this bloke as a saint is really taking it too far. Strewth mate, you will be giving him wings next."
** Please provide evidence of that statement.

That is two strikes epic fail.

You looked hard but found nothing

Dear Philip S,

You bloody dingbat.

So you got it from a site which took it from the Courier Mail and you failed to attribute either?

Doubly pathetic my friend.

Well at least you know acknowledge it wasn't your own words. Where did you pull it from? Hotcopper?

As to you painting him as a saint you claim there isn't a problem with him lying because every one does it nor with him visiting seedy areas in the Philippines because Foxy may have visited Kings Cross.

Finally you keep evading the fact that Christensen has fingered a senior coalition MP as the source of the original leak not the Labour party at all.

So why isn't the title of this thread “Someone in the Liberal party playing dirty politcs.”?

Wouldn't know the truth if it hit you between the eyes mate. Time to move on to the next bit of dirt. What's next?

SteeleRedux Your comment makes me laugh, I picture a little person jumping up and down frothing at the mouth ranting the words in total frustration.

You keep calling me mate and my friend, sorry to inform you you are neither my mate or my friend so please come down to reality, fact is you the last person I would want as a friend.

Just out of interest although I really don't care what you think but what part of this statement don't you understand.

• “The AFP completed a thorough assessment in relation to this matter and found there was no evidence or other information to support the allegation or establish criminal conduct on the part of Mr Christensen.

** Maybe you are the same as Belly and Foxy in thinking someone is guilty even after the AFP have stated otherwise. **

By the way where did you get your law degree or are you just a frustrated backseat lawyer?

Quote "As to you painting him as a saint you claim there isn't a problem with him lying because every one does it nor with him visiting seedy areas in the Philippines because Foxy may have visited Kings Cross."
** If that is you interpretation of painting someone as a saint what a sad life you must live. **

Hey Philip S,
"You are not a Labor Party strategist, you are on a forum."

- Nor will I ever be; but well done Sherlock for stating the bleeding obvious...

"The only way to get to the truth is to separate arguments that do hold merit from those that don't."

Yep, I definitely said that.

"I hold myself to a higher standard"

Not sure I said that one; you may have misquoted me.

What I have said is that I hold myself to the same (forum) standard that I hold others to.
Which means if you say something stupid, I get to point it out.
But it also means that if I say something stupid you get to point it out.
It means that I expect others to prove their arguments with merit,
But that I too must also prove my own arguments with merit.

"They would only need to interview him if there was a criminal case to answer, he offered his phone they declined that offer."

Yes, and in order to take an MP's phone their probably has to be solid basis of wrongdoing, which their may not be.
Look I'm not saying George Christensen is guilty of anything;
I'm not even aware of any of the real facts relating to this issue.
Which pretty much means I have little more to add than I've said already.

Good to set Old George frying in his own fat. When the blokes not playing Mother Teresa he's hanging around seedy pick up joints in the Philippines. Probably as a devout Christian he's there looking for souls to save.

Dear Philip S,

You wrote;

“I picture a little person jumping up and down frothing at the mouth ranting the words in total frustration.”

Frustration? Really? Mate I'm not the one who started a thread to bash the Labour Party and instead have found themselves having to ignore the very inconvenient truth that it was a “senior government MP” who Christensen accuses of originally leaking this to the Labour party.

You have had the wind totally stripped from your sails and now you are lashing out. Typically childish in my book.

You have lamented “You keep calling me mate and my friend, sorry to inform you you are neither my mate or my friend”.

Mate you must be a new Australian. The term mate is hardly definitive and is often used aggressively in our culture. This applies in some degree to friend as well. Most Aussies recognise the manner in which they are being applied. If you need further assistance with this my friend please let me know.

As to Christensen doing anything illegal show me where I have contended that he had. There are plenty of over weight, middle aged, obnoxious Australian men finding their young future wives in Philippine bars. Seeking compliant Asian brides is a feature of the more anti-PC crowd who struggle with the autonomy displayed by typical Australian women.

I'm not saying this is exactly how Christensen's relationship has evolved but without further information it is walking and talking like a duck.
