Shadow, and the real answer is; indefinite offshore detention, which is the (non) policy of the dysfunctional government in control at the moment. The sensationalised nonsense printed in the Murdoch gutter press, 'The Daily Telecrap' should be taken with a grain of salt.
Although not fully agreeing with the Labor policy, I think it is reasonably constructive and acceptable to the Australian electorate. Of course nothing short of a Fortress Australia approach is going to be acceptable to the rabid extreme on this issue like Phil and Shadow.

Paul 1405 yes true, we should not let SM get away with some claims
MALAYSIAN SOLUTION, it would have worked, 6.000 people died at sea AFTER the LNP and Greens rejected that policy
Government claims Labor killed them
Sugar Daddy holds the spotlight now, not Bill Shortens promises on this issue

Belly Who can't answer questions.

The Malaysian solution you so like was a step towards disaster, have you any concept of economics?

We give Malaysia 800 so called refugees in turn we have to take 4,000.

Did you fail primary school mathematics that is a ratio of 1 to 5, then the 4,000 would want family reunions later.

Only a moron or someone desperate for labor voters would make that deal.

I could be wrong but I think your calculation are wrong on you following statement "6.000 people died at sea AFTER the LNP and Greens rejected that policy"
You say 6,000 notice the correction, think you will find it is closer to 1,200.

Please activate brain before applying fingers to keyboard, so as to not look foolish.

Get off your high horse Philip S why is it you need to needle every one
Do you have an issue we should know about
Do you come here to get away from a controlling wife
YES we would take more refugees, *UNTIL THE BOATS STOPPED COMING*
And they would
No more massive costs of offshore detention
What would cost as much as that has
HINT you will never earn my respect while you needlessly insult every day

Dear Belly,

People who behave in that manner usually feel
insecure. Best ignored.

Foxy ok and true but in all honesty pulling needlessly rude people up best serves a civil site
All in all the thread gave a chance to see how flimsy its title is
Labor has had its bast National conference in a decade
We are ready and we know we will be judged by how well we govern
Just as the circus we know as government has shown it is unfit to remain in power
