But the gist of the article was slanted to show that contrary to popular belief the boats did not stop what was stopped was the daily reporting of them.

You might well be right Philip. The political class treats us like mushrooms. I don't think that we can ever know what is truly happening. We are very fortunate not to have land borders.

It might just be that the 'thinking' public might see some of the home grown Nauru locals more eligible for refugee status in Australia than those illegal ones encouraged by the Marxist and naïve.

What the hell are we doing bringing gate crashing boat people to Oz for medical treatment. These are criminals, who tried to break our laws, & are the least deserving of help from our medical system.

If the medical system of Nauru is less than desirable, we should be bring the people of Nauru here for treatment & leaving the illegals to rot. They do not deserve our help in any way.
