Dear Shadow minister,

I will repeat my earlier post;

"His criticism of the kingdom for exporting its fundamentalist “Wahhabist” version of Islam to other Muslim countries struck at the very heart of the ruling family’s legitimacy.

“I don’t think any US president has ever been so outspoken about Saudi Arabia,” said Toby Matthiesen, a Middle East specialist at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.

“This is really unprecedented,” he added, calling Obama’s views “embarrassing” for the kingdom."

These were hardly Obama's mates. Please show me where Trump has even come close to this kind of criticism of the Saudis.

I did love this from Trump today.

When he was asked if he should tone down his rhetoric in the face of the recent pipe bombs and shootings he said;

“Tone down, no. Could tone up.”

It is just a reflex with him. Zero nuance, just double down on anything that even looks like criticism. It is almost Pavlovian.

Amazing.

The media are to blame for saying Trump's language against media incites violence against media for saying Trump incites violence. If they write that , they're to blame.

Trump, this morning it is said the Republicans have made a last minute plea for votes in the midterms.
And left Trump out of it
Wise sausages those folk.

SR,

You keep reinforcing my point that Obama is essentially all words and no action. While he was waffling he made the largest arms sale in recent history to the Saudis which were then deployed in Yemen. Also who can forget his "red line" about the Syrians using chemical weapons against their own people. The Syrians used them several time and Obama did bugger all, and thousands more died horribly.

"American Enterprise Institute (AEI) reports that U.S. carbon emissions declined by more than 42 million tons in 2017, far ahead of the next most environmentally-friendly country, Ukraine, where emissions declined by 20 million tons. Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Japan also saw major declines in how much carbon dioxide each nation emits into the atmosphere.

Strangely enough, Canada, the European Union, and China — all signatories to the Accords negotiated by the United Nations — saw significant increases in carbon dioxide emissions. China released 120 million more tons of carbon dioxide into the air in 2017 than in 2016. The EU made up for America's decline, releasing 40 million more tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere."
