Come on stop attacking the person and start posting current science research on the facts, rather than media dogma.

Hasbeen,

I don't doubt that you've got data that suggests there's been a cooling. But you ought to remember that one data point is just one out of 1000's and therefore doesn't mean much.

I similarly have data showing a cooling in my local region. Nine years ago, a local man who'd kept data for over 40 yrs and used to publish it in the local paper, asked for someone to take over the database since he was headed to a retirement home out of the region. When he handed his hand-written papers over to me he broke down in tears.

I digitalised the data and kept it up to date. As is my want I've analysed the data and compared it to the data at the closest official site. The official site shows a small warming trend whereas my data shows a non-significant cooling. Both are probably right. I'd suggest the same for your data.

All official databases both terrestrial and satellite show a warming and I accept that. The issue is how much warming and what was the cause.

Again most experts accept that some part of the warming was caused by CO2 increases. Again the question how big was that part.

My own evaluation is that the total warming since 1850 or so is about 0.7c and that about half of that is down to CO2, the other half being down to a natural recovery from the Little Ice Age.

The real question is how much more warming will come, how much higher CO2 levels will climb (they are currently rising by about 1/2 of 1%per yr). The likely answer to those questions in my view and based on the IPCC RCP4.5, is that we'll have a warming over the next 80 yrs of around 0.8% due to CO2.

I'd urge you to continue to keep your personal database and make it known to any conscientious personnel at your local official site. I did it with my data and am assured that it is indeed used by those people to verify and compare their own data

Foxy,

"Scientists from the [IPCC] ...predicted
the average global temperatures could increase between 1.4 and
5.8 C by the year 2100."

Nup. (1) the IPCC does not make predictions. They are very anxious to point that out. The make projections based on various scenarios that are collectively called RCP (Representative Concentration Pathways).

(2) the numbers you mention for projected temperature are way way out of date. The most recent projections from AR5 are for an increase of 0.3 to 4.8 degrees Celsius.

(3) the higher figure is based on the RCP8.5 scenario where CO2 levels reach 1250ppm by 2100AD. But current levels are 410ppm and are rising at the rate of 0.5%pa. I doubt you'd find any reputable scientist who'd agree that CO2 will reach 1250ppm by 2100AD. The IPCC continues to use RCP8.5 only for backwards compatibility purposes. Others such as yourself use it because it yields the scariest results and scary is better than true, n'est pas?

"Time will tell who's right - the scientists or the deniers?"

Well the contest is between scientists and other scientists. Dispute what you've clearly chosen to believe, there are very large numbers of scientists out there who don't buy the scare. (Queue those who've fallen for the 97% rubbish).

" resource depletion continue at an increasing rate"

There is no resource depletion. There's never been resource depletion. We've never run out of even one resource. Resources such as fossil fuel are now more plentiful than ever before.

In a previous thread you got all high and mighty because you claimed that someone saying 'final solution' was a clear and unacceptable reference to the Holocaust. The 'denier' tag was originally intend and used to compare sceptics to holocaust deniers. But I guess its different when you do it, eh?

what is your closest weather station so we can verify your claims.
Steele Reedux,
Don't you mean dispute his claims ? Verifying would mean agreeing & that's something they're not agreeable to for obvious reasons.
