Agency workers from local and international NGOs as well as UN agencies are among the prime sexual exploiters of refugee children often using the very humanitarian assistance and services intended to benefit refugees as a tool of exploitation. Male national staff were reported to trade humanitarian commodities and services, including medication, oil, bulgur wheat, plastic sheeting, education courses, skills-training, school supplies etc., in exchange for sex with girls under 18. The practice appeared particularly pronounced in locations with significant and established aid programs.

Security and military forces including international and regional peacekeepers, national forces and police units are another significant category of exploiters.

The UN also admits that the likely true number of cases reported against its staff is double that, as figures outside of war zones are not centrally collated.

Prof MacLeod also estimates that only one in 10 of all rapes and assaults by UN staff are reported, as even in the UK the reporting rate is just 14 per cent.

There's a lot of seedy things going on under the cover of aid organisations and refugee camps, especially between 1 and 3 am.

Think human and sex trafficking and organ harvesting.

If your pretty you get sex trafficking.
If your ugly you get organ harvesting.

A lot of it is exploitation though like trading a chocolate bar or an ice cream to a half starved refugee for sexual favours.

The UN employee will say it was a legitimate trade.

UN personnel are permitted to have relations with refugees.

It's not just exploitation but recruiting others for the purpose of exploitation and even more nefarious things.

Evil under the cover of legitimate businesses and organisations.

I'll bet that the sainted United Nations doesn't get the caning and abuse that the Catholic Church has been subjected to.

Why only blame what goes on amongst United Nations staff?

I'm sure that as someone has already suggested - look at
any large corporations or agencies dealing with children
and young adults and you'll find activities going on
that will make your hair curl. From Youth correctional
facilities to carers in all sorts of "protective"
organisations. Devious people and monsters lurk and find
employment where potential victims are to be found.

What we need are whistle-blowers and greater scrutiny to
protect our most vulnerable.

The sooner other countries treat the UN the same way Trump does the better. Besides standing against everything decent and good what purpose do they fulfil? They even considered taking on Rudd didn't they?
