As for which religious leaders, the simplest and most likely explanation for them not specifying is that it wasn't confined to a particular group. But going by what we know has happened in western countries, isn't it fanciful to imagine Christian leaders weren't involved in this?

But there is one thing we can be sure of: it WASN'T gw High priests - because they don't exist. GW is a phenomenon not a religion.
