Hey ttbn,
When people spoke of a blue wave recently, I told them it was propaganda. The #WalkAway movement seems to be evidence that many have turned away from the Democratic Party, for a number of different reasons. - All of them reasonable - I added some links in a previous comment, but I'll add some more now as well. Previous links http://youtu.be/iJFDs8KlY2E http://youtu.be/wnnBEr-7-Rk http://youtu.be/r7dyXPR3e-A http://youtu.be/SUkQ8pWk6EA http://youtu.be/oG6JqmdIubA It's refreshing to see people coming to their senses and thinking for themselves. I listened to the Trump / Putin media conference a short while ago, what's important is the focus Trump again put on Imran Awan and the DNC server, which I've mentioned numerous times in the last 2years. http://youtu.be/H_hWuI5KnSA Posted by Armchair Critic, Tuesday, 17 July 2018 11:41:25 AM

Dear AC,
You wrote; “It's refreshing to see people coming to their senses and thinking for themselves.” Well no, they are thinking OF themselves. The primary reason for the shift in sentiment appears to be one of tax cuts putting more in the pay packet so the Republicans are deemed to be better economic managers, something certainly not supported by history. Therefore they are not 'coming to their senses' at all. Posted by SteeleRedux, Tuesday, 17 July 2018 11:41:34 PM

It's a huge joke to see AcidReflux pontificating on 'sense'.

SR,
You have the knack for oversimplification. More money in the pocket is always a vote winner, but there is much more to it than that. The reason that there is "white flight" from the democratic party is that the Democrats have essentially abandoned their base which is the blue collar worker in pursuit of more esoteric left whinge ideals such as identity politics and the Republicans have swung to the fundamentalist Christians leaving a vast swathe of Americans largely unrepresented. That Trump's support has been increasing over the last few months in spite of his boorishness and frequent blunders that confuses and angers the intelligentsia. The simple thing is that the working man is prepared to overlook Trump's faults as long as they get what they want. Posted by Shadow Minister, Wednesday, 18 July 2018 6:01:47 PM

Can't help wondering what effect will Trump's Helsinki
appearance have on Americans? Will they still support him or will they be wearing hats with the acronym ITMFA (IMPEACH THE MOTHER -F** - R ALREADY!). Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 18 July 2018 6:20:23 PM

One summary of the poll suggests that also contributing to a shift to the Republicans is the childish behaviour of the Democrats who clearly have not come to terms with their loss two years after the event. Tales of Russian meddling are of no interest to the average voter, and nobody but the Left believes their own stories about Donald Trump being a fascist and all the other juvenile names they mock him with. All the insults to white men; the divisive identity politics etc, are all actively alienating young white men. Much of this rubbish was what saw Donald Trump being elected in the first place.
The infantile behaviour of Trump-haters will continue for another two years up to the next election, and even more voters will be fed up with it. Given what Donald Trump has achieved in two years, he is looking very good for a second term.
