A Reuters/Ipos poll indicates that young white millenials are withdrawing from the Democrats. These men now favour the Republicans over the Democrats by 11%. Over the pass three years, there has been a 23% swing against Democrats by this group. So, while other polls tend to indicate that Trump is not popular as a person, that doesn't mean that people won't vote for his commonsense policies and obvious achievements as a leader. Surprising to me, and to the Democrats, is that this poll knocks in the head the idea that the Left is the natural home of young people.

One summary of the poll suggests that also contributing to a shift to the Republicans is the childish behaviour of the Democrats who clearly have not come to terms with their loss two years after the event. Tales of Russian meddling are of no interest to the average voter, and nobody but the Left believes their own stories about Donald Trump being a fascist and all the other juvenile names they mock him with. All the insults to white men; the divisive identity politics etc, are all actively alienating young white men. Much of this rubbish was what saw Donald Trump being elected in the first place.

The infantile behaviour of Trump-haters will continue for another two years up to the next election, and even more voters will be fed up with it. Given what Donald Trump has achieved in two years, he is looking very good for a second term.

Hey ttbn,
When people spoke of a blue wave recently, I told them it was propaganda.

The #WalkAway movement seems to be evidence that many have turned away from the Democratic Party, for a number of different reasons.
- All of them reasonable -

I added some links in a previous comment, but I'll add some more now as well.

It's refreshing to see people coming to their senses and thinking for themselves.

I listened to the Trump / Putin media conference a short while ago, what's important is the focus Trump again put on Imran Awan and the DNC server, which I've mentioned numerous times in the last 2years.

Dear AC,

You wrote;

“It's refreshing to see people coming to their senses and thinking for themselves.”

Well no, they are thinking OF themselves. The primary reason for the shift in sentiment appears to be one of tax cuts putting more in the pay packet so the Republicans are deemed to be better economic managers, something certainly not supported by history. Therefore they are not 'coming to their senses' at all.

It's a huge joke to see AcidReflux pontificating on 'sense'.

SR,

You have the knack for oversimplification. More money in the pocket is always a vote winner, but there is much more to it than that. The reason that there is "white flight" from the democratic party is that the Democrats have essentially abandoned their base which is the blue collar worker in pursuit of more esoteric left whinge ideals such as identity politics and the Republicans have swung to the fundamentalist Christians leaving a vast swathe of Americans largely unrepresented.

That Trump's support has been increasing over the last few months in spite of his boorishness and frequent blunders that confuses and angers the intelligentsia. The simple thing is that the working man is prepared to overlook Trump's faults as long as they get what they want.

Can't help wondering what effect will Trump's Helsinki
appearance have on Americans? Will they still support him
or will they be wearing hats with the acronym ITMFA
(IMPEACH THE MOTHER -F** - R ALREADY!).
