You wanna know something really weird I heard about?

There's a book called 'The Last President', written in 1900 by Inglestadt something-or-other.

It's about a young boy named Barron Trump who comes from a wealthy upbringing and has a mentor named Don.

I haven't looked it up yet but it seems curious.

Donald Trump had a sound background in business and in negotiation. In contrast, the last president, Obama, had no achievements at all. This appeared recently:

“A major political party (put) forward a candidate for presidential office with almost nothing in the way of significant achievement, either personally or in some field of endeavour. Normally presidents are those who have gained experience in some real area of life and are a proven quantity, whether it be winning a world war (like Eisenhower) or reaching significant political office, such as a governorship (like Carter or Bush). Obama had nothing to offer other than rhetoric and some books, and the results show for themselves”.

Ever since Trump was elected there has been a movement to impeach him which more an indictment of the left whinge delusion than on Trump.

To impeach him you will need:
1 clear evidence of a breach of criminal law,
2 a 50% +1 majority in Congress and
3 a 60% supermajority in the Senate.

After more than a year there no indication of any collusion between Trump and the Russians to influence the elections, and although the investigation has not closed, the chances of any breakthrough are fading fast.

Secondly, although there are Republicans condemning Trump when push comes to shove, none of them is going to vote to impeach him without clear evidence of severe wrongdoing and the chances of the Democrats getting a supermajority is bugger all.

He has a point. Politics is so in the US is so bonkers these days that even if you could meet the first condition, Republicans still wouldn't vote for the impeachment - better a known crook than a Democrat.
