So Barnaby has resigned.

Australia will be even more badly governed now, without his common sense right leaning approach, moderating the idiot Turnbull.

Dear Hassie,

The Barnaby Joyce saga has been dissected every which
way in the media. From the political strings and
taxpayer money that he's used and abused; to the
Ministerial codes of conduct that he's somehow not
broken and the hypocrisy of his supposed position
on family values. Yet we're told that we're not supposed
to be able to have a conversation on any of this because
it's his private life.

I guess the standards of what is
private life and what is relevant to Mr Joyce's capacity
as a leader (and Deputy PM of Australia) is determined
by what behaviour old (and not so old) white heterosexual
men consider meet and are relevant to their respective
standards. Everyone else is supposed to fall into line
behind that.

What many find utterly repellent is
that this man can still think it is his right to
dig in his heels, call this
a witch-hunt, play the victim card and not understand at all
both the hypocrisy and the duplicitousness of his behaviour.

Barnaby gone?

Most people certainly hope so!

Yes ! The Betoota Advocate, as usual in the forefront of news scoops, has announced that Barnaby has pulled out - he has resigned as deputy PM and head of the Nationals:

https://outlook.live.com/mail/#/AQMkADAwATE2ZTEwLWY3YzctZDE2OC0wMAItMDAKAC4AAAPwLFVHw9aDSaZNKzChV%2FZBAQBB2sPMAwi5Q7TYLUddFtDWAAACPBMAAAA%3D/id/AQQkADAwATE2ZTEwLWY3YzctZDE2OC0wMAItMDAKABAAbWDWRudsI0CiGPJ%2FPiJd%2Bw%3D%3D

His withdrawal will be welcomed universally. Malcolm's thirtieth news poll rating will probably coincide with Barnaby's up-coming new arrival. Who needs bread and circuses ?

Hassy, I can see why Bonking Barney would appeal to you. The blokes is completely useless, a political dill, he is getting what he deserves. What we need is a general election to clear the air, and replace the dysfunctional Coalition Government with the Labor mob, who are at least halfway competent.

It's amazing that he thought that he was going to get away with. The CWA ladies in Queensland were never going to put with that sort of nonsense.

Paul, the fact that he gets up your nose is almost enough recommendation, but that you disagree with what he stands for is even more important.

Obviously he is on the right track if the greenies disagree with him.
