What it proves is that having an Australian passport
is a recognition of their Australian citizenship.
Therefore it would be a natural assumption on their
part that that's where the matter ended. Why
would you bother checking on your relationship with
a nation you left at a very young age and never knew
when you are an Australian citizen and have been
recognised as such by being given an
Australian passport.
Makes no sense.
