Dear Shadow Minister,
I don't want to argue with you any further. I shall however, think about what you've stated and discuss things with the man who influences me the most - my husband. Now I'm a tad tired so I'm going to have a bit of a lie down. Talk to you later. Posted by Foxy, Friday, 24 June 2016 1:39:57 PM

With a typical superior conservative attitude Shadow reprimands the good humanitarian work of 'Amnesty International'. How condescending can one get, knowing nothing of the organisation, or the fine work being done by many of its committed members. Shadow would rather have us believe they have a "problem". The problem being their failure to toe the line and respect the authority of his born to rule brigade in the Liberal Party, and their masters, as they go about trampling and trashing human rights with revolting regularity, their disgusting treatment of asylum seekers, as they strip innocent people of all semblance of dignity and hope. So much for human rights where Shadow is concerned!

Paul,
What irritates me about left whingers is their linear thinking. The AI does good things therefore every word from their lips is "like a shaft of gold when all around is dark". AI, especially its website has become political and ideological, picking sides and eroding its reputation and support according to The Economist: http://www.economist.com/node/8888792 AI is fond of claiming that Aus is acting illegally in its treatment of asylum seekers, yet is unable to point to any actual law being broken, it backs Hamas over Israel etc. Posted by Shadow Minister, Saturday, 25 June 2016 9:54:33 AM

Dear Shadow Minister,
The UN has found that Australia's treatment of asylum seekers violates international law and that Australia ignores their international law obligations. The Human Rights Law Centre is one of many sources that lists the laws violated. All you have to do is Google these things on the web. http://www.safecom.org.au/lr-breaches.htm As for supporting Hamas? That is simply not true. What is being supported? Human Rights! Dear Shadow Minister,
Excuse my typo. Here's the correct link: http://www.safecom.org.au/hr-breaches.htm Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 25 June 2016 11:01:50 AM

When you confuse innuendo and supposition with fact, then conversation becomes difficult. The AI report to which you refer is rich in the former, but sorely lacking in the latter.
The problem with all of this is that the Australian Navy broke no laws, and if they had of, then the activists would have been all over them like a rash.
