We need a referendum to ditch the UN. What a useless unelected propaganda machine. Constantly railing against Israel while in bed with Hamas and other terrorist organisations. People are starting to wake up to the dumming down of universities, national broadcasters and the political class who use the UN to somehow validiate junk science, open borders and anti family crp.

Some imagine that those who blindly go along with human rights outfits, in this case Amnesty Oz, are the 'do gooder' Pollyannas they superficially appear. But when they demonstrate bias by continually reject facts out of hand preferring negatives or even conspiracy, they make it clear they are ideologically driven activists.

Where criticism of Australia is concerned there has always been the large rump of culturally cringing leftists, moral BS artists, led by the very false, self-promoting talking heads such as Phillip Adams. Gentleman farmer (thanks to the missus and hired help) and life-long bore on the ABC. He and his poseur leftist mates have never been the 'do gooders'.

They are in fact 'do badders' whose carping Oz-negging undermines the good work done by the many, politicians, public bureaucrats and business people, who are putting their backs and creativity into Australia.

Back to Amnesty Oz, it is a fact that human rights outfits do attract a certain type of serially dissatisfied person, serial activists, many with nothing better to do (no work, they are on welfare), who do not believe that the normal democratic arrangements allow them to have the impact to bring about the type of society that THEY want. That they do not believe that the available access to politicians to influence decisions is worrying. Not all members of those outfits would be like that.

Just to say that the members of human rights outfits entities are just as prone, most likely far more prone than the general population, to bring their personal biases and even grudges along to influence assessments, statements and 'policies'.

However, unlike participation in the democratic process that results in transparency and criticism in the Parliament, what is done by those human rights groups is never subjected to the independent scrutiny it is due.

Of course Amnesty Oz is pitching political lines and that is so apparent where people smugglers are concerned, and their way is NOT what Australians say they want and have voted for.
