Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site, and I'm really enjoying reading everyone's opinions on immigration and bipartisan government policies. I am currently completing my Honours in Psychology at Federation University. As part of my thesis, I am conducting a study on the factors that may influence public attitudes towards Australian government asylum seeker/refugee policies. If anybody would care to share their opinions, I would greatly appreciate any volunteers to participate in this research project.

I would like to invite individuals who are 18 years or over and eligible to vote in Australia to participate in the study.

Your participation would involve the completion of an online questionnaire, which is estimated to take no longer than 10-15 minutes. The questionnaire does not ask you to provide any information that could be used to identify you. Therefore, your responses will be totally anonymous.

Thank you for taking the time to consider participating. If you would like to participate or receive further information, please follow the link below. Please feel free to share this survey around.

Thank you!

Emily

Hi EmPat

a quick look at your survey does not to distinguish between a genuine refugee and an economic refugee who has paid a lot of money to a people smuggler. How can you get an accurate assesment without asking the obvious questions?

Thank you Emily for allowing me to participate in your survey.

I think you should also include a space for responders to describe their attitudes in free-style since answering some of the questions literally as asked could be misleading.

Your survey is not going to be of use to anyone except someone with an agenda or trying to get a specific result as like others say it does not differentiate between economic invaders and real refugees. Especially in section 5.

Some sections are designed to see if people read or just tick boxes, I like that.

EmPat follow this link and tell me if you think any of the people in the pics are real refugees.

That is why your survey fails because you not differentiate between and real ones.
Remember on most boats we got 95% were single men.

Yes Emily, you will find this is the wrong forum for surveys like yours, because this forum is 90% anti-immigration, anti-refugee and anti-Muslim.

Ask the usual good ol' boys here if they would be happy for Australia to accept 'genuine' refugees and immigrants who are also Muslim, and see what their true feelings are....

another knife attack in Sydney although as usual the press hide the fact that this man was crying out to allah as he was about to stab people. Put it down to mental health or lone wolf attack again. Nothing to do with Islam or the Koran.
