If I pick up something that is 4.1 KG heavier than before I would notice the difference and think something was wrong.
How could she not know?

ABC 24 news today said in a news report her family had already made $100.000,s of dollars by being interviewed.
Seems the hash the family once lived on is a secondary source of income now.
Stand by to see a boring month of news about this gang of questionable folk.

Belly, "I am sure however that those who make it possible for the million dollar check to this lady, do not share the view of hasbeen given, needlessly here"

Not sure what you meant by that. Your earlier post was better. This one,

It would be a very great stretch to imagine that the media outlets who are pumping this story and have done so from the start, are doing it as a public service. If anyone has seen Liz Hayes from 60Minutes and others milking it for all it is worth it would be obvious that trash journalism has an audience and is worth mega$ in advertising. I guess the sort of products advertised when the trashy current affairs shows are on the air would reflect the audience who want to be entertained and have their world-views confirmed rather than be informed by facts and sober analysis.

Truth is the first casualty where the tabloids are involved and sensationalism and speculative gossip to make the news are routine.

Would an older man with 4.1kg dope in his possession have attracted the media circus? Or would he have been immediately dismissed as a dope himself who was getting his just desserts? Obviously youth and tits, and the added attraction of 'repressive authority' are tops for the entertainment of some. Apparently it was very good hydroponic dope though and better than that inferior scrub grown stuff over there. That alone would present a motive to some.

It was a good cop. An example to others that poor decisions can rebound on the maker. Asian Customs are not as dumb as some imagine them to be. Their police prosecutors give the equal opportunity to young women to be held accountable for their own decisions. Whereas in Oz their female gender can stretch the envelope avoiding charges and penalties where their male equivalents would be pursued and punished with a custodial sentence. Yay for equality!

Belly it was not needless, but with real purpose, that I mention this bumph.

I am heartily sick of this sort of stuff on TV, particularly when it is broadcast as news. I like to catch a news or 2. One used to be the ABC, until their bias became unwatchable. When garbage about people like the Corbys come on, I can't get to the remote quickly enough to get rid of it.

I am hoping to get through to TV news directors, & even more importantly to the advertisers that this stuff costs them audience. Thinking people simply turn off.

If they are like me, they are quicker to get the trash off than they used to be, as they have had a gutful of it.

It is only if we get the advertisers telling the stations what material they will & won't pay for, that we might get a little less garbage on our TV screens.
