o sung wo, takeit5 easy on your self mate.
No crawling here not my style but no community can afford to pay a good cop what he/she is truly worth.
We have an anti cop culture but it is blind to truth.
Your job was not to beg us to behave and some times still the good kick in the ring works best.
I in my time responding to road trauma events saw the very best in police and ambo uniforms.
And too the very worst in a police Sargent shirt.
I would rather remember the best.
A tip from an old union official.
Remember if some of us who take pleasure in pulling down others had fools like them in their work place doing what they do to them a light of intelligent understand may flash in front of their eyes.

Good afternoon to you, BELLY and HASBEEN...

Thank you both for your sage advice, and I do appreciate from where it comes. It's true, coppers have to make their own bed and lie in it, and occasionally we receive some genuine thanks from those of whom we 'try' to help.

After school we all have to make a momentous decision about what vocational path we wish to travel, and it does befall us all as to what career we choose to pursue. Rarely can we blame others, it's our choice. And I selected the Armed Services. Why in heavens name did I elect discharge after my initial 6 years, I'll never ever know ? Probably the worst mistake in judgement I've ever made ?

But I did, so I swapped my khakis for blue. From a soldier to a bastard in most people's eyes, particular those of my (beloved) late Father ? Though a teetotaller all his 88 years of life, he held NO respect for police at all ? Though never experiencing anything negative from them (not even a traffic matter), he nevertheless, was always quite derisive of anything complimentary that was said about them. I do recall, when I was very young, we had a distant relative who was of a reasonably high rank, in the job ? My memory of him is scant, perhaps therein is the answer to my Dad's intractable attitude ?

BELLY and HASBEEN my good friends, I have no illusions at to what sort of footprint I'll leave when I finally bid goodbye to this mortal world of ours, no illusion at all.

Again, thank you both immensely. Wow, I'm completely off Topic. Profound apologies to our moderators !
