Belly, I see you want a double tax on members of religion. Honest members of religion already pay their taxes.

You are as bad as Muslims who want tax from non members of their faith. Double standards!

Gatherings of members of a religion i.e. Churches, Mosques etc are merely members of community with a common faith. They have no income other than what they have already paid tax on. You do not have a case.

If Churches have common asset upon which they have income they already pay tax upon that income after expenses but you will find They are not for profit organisations. My wife worked in a Church run O.H.S.C and she was responsible for paying wages to staff and their taxes to government.

I suggest you audit the books of a Church near you to see if they should pay taxes. Upon what should they pay tax?

Whatever your world view is obviously it is a mishmash of negative ideas. Ask yourself, "What contribution have I made to society that has improved the lives of people in my community?"

I respect Belly's work for the workingman in the context of the union movement. I think he has done more to improve the lot of the average Australian than Cardinal Pell and other religious leaders who have engaged in covering up the misdeeds of their institutions rather than addressing the concerns of the victims.

Ah! Yes, let us tax the churches, particularly the Catholic Church, arguably the largest charitable organization in the world.

Never mind the world though, they're probably the largest charitable organization in Australia.

Shut them down and listen to the howls as general taxatidn goes up to fill the void.

Anyone remember what happened when Archbishop Eris O'Brien, through his deputy Bishop John Cullinane, closed the Catholic schools in Goulburn, NSW?

Dear Belly,

You asked about thoughts?

Remember - "Grunter: the story of a pig with ATTITUDE!"

I'll just remind you:

There once was a small green farm, with a large pink problem.
His name was Granville, but he was known as Grunter because
that's what he does! Grunt, Grunt.

He hates everything and everyone. He's overfed, and
overweight. He's mad, bad, angry, and sad (and dangerous to
know on days with a 'd'). He has serious attitude
and shocking wind.

Yesterday he flattened the farmer, spat on the cat,
dunked the dog, catapulted the cow, and mashed
three-short-sighted mice into the mud.

The day before, he bit the badger, grabbed the goat
and choked the chicks with one of his outbursts.
He ran amok in the mud, sat on the sheep, and dropped
something dirty on the duck.

The other animals think that he's too big for his trotters.
They think that he should be taught a lesson.

Then came Grunter's birthday. And he was all alone.
No one remembered?
Or did they?

BOOM!
An explosion echoed in the farm.
Grunter was last seen flying into outer-space.

And the pink problem was no more.

The moral of that story for children is -
Don't be a Grunter, be nice,
It's an explosive book to discover -
how not to treat your fellow man, or pig!

Bears thinking about.

Foxy Foxy Foxy mate!
It was a dark and stormy night, the news on the radio said some unknown bloke had written a book.
Some thought the book rude to a bloke who may or may not have ever lived, from a land far away from ours.
The streets filled with folk dressed like Darlects from Doctor who, and their children.
Our for a walk/riot and to tell us infidels we are bound for hell.
Little rug rats with nice clean smiling faces held up signs warning us they thought our heads should be removed.
Our task is the pretend it never happened.
And will never happen again.
We too must pretend we are not concerned and have nothing to fear.
Unfortunately my fairy story came true, more than once in many country,s
