Danielle,

<<Most of the medical care workers, both doctors and nurses, in our public hospitals are from overseas. And most of these people would be Muslim.>>

I rather doubt that *MOST* would be muslim! Maybe in some localities but the across the board--I have huge doubts!

Danielle "If it were not for these people our public health system would grind to a crashing stop."

That's odd, because I'm sure I recall a health system filled with White Australian doctors and nurses when I grew up.

And White taxi drivers, White cleaners, White welders, White butchers, etc.
We used to do *everything* without them, and we could do so again.
We just need the balls to put our own people first.

Dear Shockadelic,

The current health care agencies due to Mr
Abbott's axe cuts probably could not afford
to hire the "white" staff you speak of.
We need to be grateful that we have caring
people who are able to work for lower wages
and yet still maintain the care necessary,
especially in our aged care facilities.
We're now stuck with a government that believes
in the politics of money, profit, and power.
Surpluses are more important that the front-line
staff in hospitals.

Dear Shockadelic,

An Australian regardless of his or her skin colour or religion is one of our people. Australia is a country whose legal system is based on its constitution. There is nothing in that constitution which defines being Australian in terms of ethnicity, race or religion.

I do wish that we could have a definition of what a 'white' person is, so that we could be all talking the same language.
