Individual re read your two posts.
See your description of me. And her all who think differently than you. I have much grubby slander and insults I could post about you and your side. It is or seems to be, something we can do here. One of us has to retreat, to say OLO is better than that. I do so now. Posted by Belly, Saturday, 13 August 2011 3:22:45 PM

Lexi I have to say the woman is getting exactly what she deserves.
She has fully earned the right to be despised by most Australians, & they have given her her due. It may be possible with some people to respect the office, but despise the current holder of that office, but not with her. She won't permit it. She doesn't even have enough sense to shut up. She keeps reinforcing the fact that she is a liar, by continuing to lie, virtually every time she opens her mouth. She keeps trying to get away with the same mixture of half truths, & straight lies, that got past some in the early days. That won't wash with Ozzies now, apart from the few of you who refuse to see her for what she is. The country suffered enough when far too many continued to try to see something good in Rudd, long after it was apparent he was just an arrogant, useless, hateful little man, who should be got rid of. At that stage Julia had the ball at her feet. People even welcomed her for getting rid of Rudd. If she had been able to tell the truth about anything, she had it made. Every bit of bile now aimed at her she has earned, all on her own. Posted by Hasbeen, Saturday, 13 August 2011 3:48:04 PM

Lexi,
Whilst not condoning some of the extremes above, I would argue that the position of PM is no shield against legitimate criticism. Adolf Hitler held the position of Chancellor, and no one would seriously suggest shielding him. The issue is that most businesses and Individual Australians hate the carbon tax, and Juliar is hell bent on passing it in spite of the overwhelming opposition. SM,
Here are two websites that may be of interest - presenting I hope both sides of the coin and a fair and balanced view: 1) http://newmatilda.com/2011/03/24/what-anticarbon-lobby-made 2) http://newmatilda.com/2011/07/11/carbon-tax-we-had-have Posted by Lexi, Saturday, 13 August 2011 7:18:34 PM

SM,
I'm not sure that most Australians are against the carbon tax but certainly there are some who are: http://newmatilda.com/2011/03/24/what-anticarbon-lobby-made Dear rehctub, When is enough enough? For me the jury's seems to still be out. Perhaps after the current government has at least served its full term in office - we can look back and see what their achievements were and compare these with the criticisms made against them and see how the scales balance out. If they succeed with the following - it will be an achievment in itself: http://newmatilda.com/2011/08/12/disability-reform-will-be-milestone Posted by Lexi, Saturday, 13 August 2011 7:46:17 PM

"Q and A," as to how come good manners and decency
have disappeared from the lives of some Australians.
Why do people feel that they can call our Prime Minister
by her first name, or even an insulting "version,"
of her first name. If you don't respect the lady,
at least respect the position she holds.
I know that many previous Prime Ministers had several
unflattering nick names given to them.
But the actress is right -
this sort of disrespect does seem to be directed more
at our current PM. Is it because she's our first female
PM?
