Is any state labour Gov any different? It would seem all they want to do is bring in new ways to rob you of your hard earned cash, either by cutting services and making you pay more for them or putting in speed cameras. I think everyone is feeling the pinch when it comes to their power bills. I recall reading 1.5 million people in NSW alone aren't keeping up, Christ knows what that number is in Vic? Anyway, in Vic if you get ill or have an accident, better to literally drag yourself to hospital, you'll save hours in getting there!

I'll put NSW Government incompetence up against Qld Government incompetence any day of the week.

You're a bunch of rank amateurs, compared to our bunch of demolition experts. Sad thing is, the opposition is monumentally unappealing too - they just sit on their backsides, waiting for the incumbents to self-destruct.

The Bard knew how it feels:

"I am hurt. A plague a' both your houses! I am sped."

Anna Bligh still cannot say 'asked'.

She still says 'arkst'.... you'd think she'd try to 'speak proper' as the Premier...after all, she did a non-performing stint as education minister before this gig.

She does not support secular public schooling, and she does support evangelical Christianity being promoted in public schools.

She is surrounded by sycophants.

Now, that said, if Hasbeen's favoured crew won tomorrow, while they might all be able to 'speak proper', every complaint raised about Bligh's incompetence, would apply equally to that mob.

Our politicians pander to the dumb and disempowered in society, as well as the greedy and self-serving.

So, when we hear many complaints about health and education being underfunded, about the lack of public housing and transport.... we also hear a deafening roar from all sectors of the community who insist we need lower taxes, lower wages, and lower social conditions.

There is a fundamental disconnect between the moaning about 'poor services' and 'high taxes'.

Where are you Fletcher Christian (played by Clark Gable) to depose Captain Bligh (played by Edna May Oliver) in our hour of need. Langbroek is inadequate for the part.

Yes David, you may be right, but then they would be a 600% improvement, so not great, but much better.

Besides, it would be fun again reading the paper, or watching the TV news.

We would get another announcement, every day for half a year or more, of each new con/rip off they had found

Let's re-name this topic "Bring back Joh". Gee, maybe one under god can raise him from the dead and we'll install him as premier again. After all, everyone knows Queensland was 'perfect' under the National party, and everyone in Queensland was happy with then. Oh, the good old days when everything was 'perfect'.
