What's 8-28? It's the American dating system, meaning 28th of August.

On that day, which happens to also be the anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech .. there will be a massive rally at the same place...

The driving force behind this rally titled "Restoring Honour" is Glenn Beck. He, and various others are working hard to make it a day of restorating of the America which once was.

For the skeptics and cynics.. like Keith Olbermann of MSNBC who mocks Beck with "King said I have a dream, Beck says I have a SCHEME"... one of the supportive participating speakers is..non other than Dr Alveda King, niece of Dr Martin Luther King.

Sarah Palin will also participate, and others who I don't know.

The possibility of problems is huge, with the Left hysterical, frantic and only coping by virtue of serious tranquilizing medication.

My feeling is...that on this day, America will begin to restore it's greatness, or, it will begin the slide into an abyss from that will consume all of us over time.

I'm not coming back to this thread, but I thought you should know that Glen Beck is, like Bill O Reilly, a firebrand neocon TV personality on, I believe, Fox Network, who appeals to the redneck demographic.

I think that it's highly unlikely that any nation would regain its "greatness" as a result of a Fox News Commentator nominating a day on which it will occur.

the bible thumpers, all happy together! You fit right in there.

Perhaps they could discuss the fact that it was their vote
which got George Bush over the line for 8 years and sent America down

I can understand the uninformed cycicism of some err..well 2 :) Hazza and Belly.

But the problem is.. it is un-informed. You blokes need to stop listening to sound bites from Soros funded left wing (Mainstream) media outlets and actually 'see' what Beck and co are on about.

This would require serious attention to the content of a significant number of his programs (the TV ones) which cover the following major topics

-Founders (focusing on the white AND black contributors to the American state)
-Crime Inc (includes great detail about the Gore and co Global Warming/soft Marxism scam)
-Restoring Honour
-Constitution and its erosion.
-The advancement to power of terrorists in the current administration.

POIROT.. a very good question what kind of 'honour' ?

-FAITH
-HOPE
-CHARITY

Just think 'what is honour' ? and that's it. Without the background of a goodly number of Becks shows, you will not be able to form a well dimensioned understanding of what he means, but essentially, he has done regular spots on the founders.. Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and others.

I frequent theme in Becks talks are pretty much along the lines of this..."Charity which is enforced by government policy is not charity"
