Nothing new about this, Arjay - indeed, violence by the State against people exercising their rights to free speech is a venerable American tradition:
http://tiny.cc/gQtAg Fortunately, I don't live in the USA. I live in Australia, where we don't have a mandated right to free speech - but at least the government hasn't been inclined lately to shoot people who speak against it. Posted by CJ Morgan, Saturday, 3 October 2009 8:33:10 PM

Yes OUG.There are many on this site who have painted particularly you and myself as conspiracy nutters. The conspiracy is slowy revealing itself as a reality.Even Kevin Rudd and Penny Wong talk of a "New World Order" in which the G20 should have Global Supremacy.Obama is just a puppet of the global corporates which JFK referred to as the industrial military complex. They have control of both parties as witnessed by the fact that Obama has elected to extend the Patriot Act and still retains the executive powers that Bush ordained.
What sort of democracy does that leave for the individual or lesser countries? Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. If you want to do something positive and you live in Aust, contact John Bursill for Architects and Engineers for 911 truth. This is the linch pin that opens the can of worms.I've joined them and they need support.johnbursill@gmail.com Ph 0414878499. CJ Morgan, you have a very insular view of Aust.If the USA becomes a totalitarian state and they insure our security in Asia via their nukes. What polices will our Govt implement to keep us in tune with their agendas?
Unfortunately your attacks on this site are about discrediting the individual personally rather, than debating the issues.I will debate the issues fairly with anyone and accept the fact I was wrong.I was wrong about the Mulsims being the prime aggressors in the Middle East.It was the Industrial Military Complex of the USA that has wrought the destruction and economic perversions we now all face. If you can think that you can normalise what is happening in Pittsburgh today by making reference to 1971 Kent State Massacre, then it is you who have a problem. What happens in the USA today and is accepted as fact, will soon happen here because of the military umbrella of the USA. We have no choice.Either we accept the US Nuke umbrella or develop our own and suffer the possible fate of Iran or Iraq. It is a game about power and ethics or fairness does not even rate a mention in US foreign policy. Posted by Arjay, Saturday, 3 October 2009 10:47:09 PM

arjay and for that matter OUG raise serious issues here.
Why do we inhabit OLO? Just in case I too have my tin hat on, and playing an old America song full blast. They may still hear me so whispering as I write. I do not think we need fear Pittsburgh, but I do. Yep up front that is me. See those young folk could be out there protesting about world hunger war unemployment. But they box shadows fight unwindable fights. And sometimes don't they blokes ? get upset if we do not believe them. Posted by Belly, Sunday, 4 October 2009 6:19:49 AM

Students at Pittsburgh Uni were attacked with tear gas on their own campus. Many were just viewing proceedings. They were told to disburse as this was an illegal assembly.Who determines what is illegal?Does the USA Constitution article 21.3 now not allow freedom of assembly and the right to protest?
The Corporate media announces that there were no arrests made but students have video evidence to the contrary.
There seems to be no passion in the West at all about basic rights. We are like moronic drones willing to be enslaved by our own apathy and ignorance.
Don't it always seem to go,
You don't know what you've got till it's gone,
Just consume media paradise,
And wash it all down with a beer.
She be right mate!
