cont'd ...

We can also hope that the Opposition will stop
blocking things in the Senate and playing 'politics.'

The world's population approaches nine billion.
One quarter of the world's mammal species are threatened
by extinction.
Temperatures will increase by 1.4 degrees C. to 5.8 degrees C.
over the next 100 years.

Let us hope as I stated previously that our world leaders
will start taking notice of the vast army of experts who
are willing and able to guide us through the coming
difficult years. A better world is possible. As Hundloe
tells us, "it will take effort. It will be difficult.
But it will be worth it!"

"The town I came from was quiet and small
we played in the meadows where the grass grew so tall
in summer the lilacs would grow everywhere
the laughter of children would float in the air

As I grew older I had to roam
far from my family, far from my home
into the city, where lives can be spent
lost in the shadows of tar and cement

Many years later, tired at last
I headed for home to look for my past
I looked for the meadows, there wasn't a trace
six lanes of highway had taken their place
where were the lilacs and all that they meant
nothing but acres of tar and cement ..."

Haah….this stuff about environmental care and sustainability has got knobs all over it! Assumptions that it is good to conserve the environment and protect our future and that God or Gaia or Mother Earth would want it that way are just fundamentally flawed.

The history of life on Earth is one of periods of stability and upheavals, some of huge magnitude. It is one of full-on competition and one of luck, not one of sympathy for those individuals or species that fall by the wayside or get squeezed into tight niches or borderline survival strategies, or for species that are basically born to be eaten, with only a minute fraction of individuals surviving to promulgate their kind.

It could well be…if Mother Earth is a conscious being….that she wants humans to change the planet, and is indeed looking forward to it with great excitement. All that fossil carbon that she has locked away since the Permian and Carboniferous periods, around 300 million years ago, has just been sitting there waiting for a mechanism to release it and thus change the climate and ecological conditions all over the planet.

Perhaps that has been her plan all along; to have a species of animal evolve that could burn the bloody stuff….and in doing so, initiate a wonderful new period of dynamism.

Death to all those old stagnant species that can’t cope. Life and vitality to all those that can, within an era of wonderful rapid dynamic evolution of new species and ecosystems. A major refreshment of life on Earth!

Old Mum Earth probably had the best time of her life after the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs!

Geez if I was a planet, that’s what I’d want to see every so often…not just the same old same old!!

i think your on to something ludwig

we have a duty of care
to remove her poisens...from our mother

excising her boils of carbon...
sending carbon life ...back into living

not dead puss..carbon..glogging up her veins[nor pumped into her guts

clean out her arteries...maybe.. metal is her brain
transmiting comunicator...such visionry you have opend

this is a wonderaouse gift
you have given us ludwig

we are her life
like that mother consumed by her young
[oops wrong debate]

so what if we make her bald...or a buildup volcanoe/explodes...or a worry line fault-shifts...[fault/subduction..zone]...she is our cranky mother ...

lets learn all about her....

and clean up that making her sick

she hates blood on her skin...[soil]
dust of all past creations...let rejuvinate our mothers skin

just like dogs fleas saying ...on the 7 th day we rest
[and let our mighty living loving dog.... rest...too

Dear Ludwig,

A fundamental insight of sociology is that once
people no longer take their world for granted,
but instead understand the social authorship of their
lives and futures, they can become an irresistible
force in history. Hopefully the decision of whether
we choose to destroy our planet or save it is one
that will be made within our lifetimes. If we continue
the way we are surely we risk its destruction - we
can't go on with the thinking, "where there's smoke,
there's jobs." For how long, and at what price?

You and I as global citizens need to put aside our
narrow self-interests and work together as friends
if there is to be a world for those humans and other
animals who follow us.

Well done Ludwig, you are probably right.

I always had the thought that our part, in the scheme of things, was to develop the place into one, more suitable for cockroaches. I believe that it's not for nothing that cockies have such a high resistance to radio activity.

Being so much smaller than us, they will require much less in resource use, to build the space ships required, to go out & conquer the universe, for earth.

Ah. Domination at last.
