OUG, why aren’t the media and public seeing all this? I thought since it concerned children people would have taken notice of it and if I can see how damaging it is and where children will suffer I really did expect most people to grasp something so obvious.

Society might be judged on how we treat our dead, our elderly, our animals etc etc. But in reality the only thing we can judge a society on his how the children are/were treated. What we do now will provide the “how” the children will treat everyone and everything in return.

Why has not a single reporter written about what this would mean, every one of them is first reporting abuse while in care (and half of them are with NGO’s) then saying this Woods Report is the answer.

I guess they have their own little ones tucked up safely in their beds while they write and it is much easier to talk about the devil you know.

And the bit you quoted about DoCS caseworkers under temporary contracts was a worry. In NZ the little kids I had used to have their caseworkers popping in to visit and have a quick play, see how they’re doing.

Caseworkers don’t do that here but at least some I regularly kept them updated on their clients through e-mail etc. With temp contracts there will be even higher changeover of staff and again the kids have no one that really knows them/believes them/helps them.

you see..the names of the people..needed to get veted via chanels..[like..some criminals..have done deals/witness protection etc..[plus others are so high up..[running the courts,govt,schools..[and docs as well as ngo's,..they need the slow/system..to be made even more slower

THE New South Wales Government is funding a third instalment of the popular television series Underbelly, which will highlight the activities of crooked cops and pedophiles in the 1990s.

The 13 one-hour episodes, expected to go to air in 2010, will be based on events exposed by the Wood Royal Commission, Premier Nathan Rees has announced.

The Wood Royal Commission was established in May 1994 to investigate the wrongdoing of more than 30 officers in the NSW police force. The scope of the inquiry was later expanded to include police protection of pedophiles including Sydney businessman Phillip Harold Bell.

Facing more than 100 charges related to pedophilia in 1997, Bell, who then owned several luxurious properties in NSW and Switzerland, allegedly paid a police officer $5000 to make conviction records "disappear".

Filming of the third Underbelly series will begin in August.

"It will create 170 jobs in production and post-production, helping contribute to NSW's creative industries sector," Mr Rees said.

The most recently screened series, Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, was filmed in Sydney and Melbourne. Billed as the highest rating drama program in the history of Australian television, it premiered in February to 2.5 million viewers.

The first series of Underbelly was based on Melbourne's gangland wars, which raged from 1995 to 2004

i find this a disgrace how the state of new south wales is funding this im a victim that was raped at daruk boys home windor n.s.w in 1977 and 1978 now the john morroney correctionial centre windsor n.s.w.

we were raped and abused in these state run institutions orphanages and foster homes

the crown lawyers addmitted in my court case of appeal november 2008 that thier departments d.o.c.s. either destroyed lost or missplaced documents such as excursion record log books, isolation cell record log books. misconduct record log books

why would they destroy the evidence of us victims because we are telling the truth as this has stopped the victim me receiving justice from the courts and the state of n.s.w.

i can not beleave how three judges could not find in favour of the victim me even when the crown lawyer stated these documents were destroyed , of which proved the victims case if the goverment d.oc.s. had nothing to hide why destroy all the proof and evidence proving the victims case

the coruption is not only within d.o.c.s. its within the n.s.w. courts as well,as my case proves i was raped and abused

so how can we victims get justice when D.O.C.S have addmitted to destroying the truth of these records , of which the crown for n.s.w. D.O.C.S stands in front of judges and say the records can not be found , yet the victims affidavitt proves he was in this boys home yet D.OC.S. I don’t know what to say, it is still happening and it looks as though we are going to go back in time to where you were. By privatizing the majority of foster care it will hide the children behind multiple closed doors like they did with the different institutions they put kids in when you were younger.

I think OUG is pointing out more truths I really didn’t want to face.

There was a strong belief in me that Australia would not do this, I thought the report would be ignored by government with how flawed it is or the media would see the move was an obvious mistake for the children.

But it and has continued to happen and we see the government funding this backwards step so it will continue on in to NSW’s future.

There will be many many more misplaced, destroyed, lost logs and files. Or some required data storage mishaps.

Do I wait 20 years and see a kid online and say "oh yeah I so knew it would end up like this"?

sadly i have met so many,who have been abused by govt systems[as well as abused generally]i found not one smoker in nimbin that had not had that awakening...i think generally it holds true for many now chosing to abuse drugs/booze/pills

there isnt much to say..[except the facts cant really ever be revealed fully..[kids dont know the names of their abusers..[in institutions,and the molestors often use code names]..many only realise names once you see their faces in the news..[and any wonder judges dont allow the press to publish their photo's

there are many abused on the street[in our prisons,in our instutions,noting the penelty most molestors get is at worst a few years[mostly they get cautions[even after lengthy trials

[i went to the local libary one day and found in the refereance section a yellow booklet..[with names of child-molestors...making it so easy to find each other

[further in prison they get segergated from the other criminals..[and develop networks with each other if not before they went in then for when they get out..[they share tips and children]

i know how hard it is for kids to tell their parents..[and often when they do tell, the parents go straight into denial..[acuse the kids of lying or making mischief]...

the court process is deliberatly made more complicated by the lawyers that further abuse the kids..[its usually the same expert lawyers/barrestors that get the criminals off...often its simply a mater of knowing the right judge,i have heard so many stories about a nsw carr premiour,downers,and beatyups..to know the rot goes to the highest levels,but such is life...

one in four kids gets molestored and as the media reports its usually someone known to the child..[one day police will have an operation call in just for child molestation..[or declare a war on child abusers[but hey dont be holding your breath..
