*I left it in the supposed capable hands of 2 males ....*

Well PF, given that you chose those two so called
capable males, clearly its all your fault due to
lack of judgement. :)

Gertrude, the days of ladies and gentlemen are from
a past era. I've seen some of those so called "ladies"
scramble for every single dollar in the divorce courts.

Sadly, thats turned many marriages into little more then a
business these days.

Col Rouge: "As to ladies (I do not involve myself with 'women')"

All the "ladies" I've ever known were women, except for a couple of drag queens. Maybe Rainier's right, since women are apparently not to your taste.

Interesting contribution from PALEIF. I bet I know what kind of "gentleman" dear old Col is ;)

Yes, they keep lawyers employed.
Yes, the contraceptive manufacturers would go broke without them.
Yes, muslim scarf-makers would go broke without them.
Yes, the Pope and his Moslem counterpart would have nothing to complain about without them.
Yes, choir boys would be in even greater danger without them.
Yes, whom could we beat up if we didn't have women?
Yes, otherwise who would like jam in the glass jam-jars that we men have to open ?
Yes, 7 of 'em proved the point, but I could never work out which one of them was, indeed, necessary. None of them liked jam.

And yes, the Great and Wonderful British Empire of Ours spread its Glorious Wings further and faster when Home had a Queen on its throne, Elizabeth I, Queen Anne, and Queen Victoria. None of them ever said, "Sorry". Or liked jam. They just demanded that their admirals and generals came home with loot and glory.

Yabby “I've seen some of those so called "ladies" scramble for every single dollar in the divorce courts”

That is one of the differences between a lady and a woman, the scambling like a goat over a mountain peak.

But when they might be dealing with a CK Morgan or rainier type would you really blame them?

I am about to be called to a friends country court case (a lady), the he wants to give her nothing and I am always of the opinion that after 12 years, she is entitled to more than that.

CJ Morgan “All the "ladies" I've ever known were women, “

But were any of those woman ladies?

And was that in the biblical sense?

“except for a couple of drag queens.”

And was that in the biblical sense?

“Maybe Rainier's right, since women are apparently not to your taste.”

As I said of rainier “As it seems in most things, your limited comprehension ensures the misinterpretation of the fundamental and basics.”

Maybe you and he share the same androgynous limitations but I bet it makes you popular among your drag queen consorts.

Col Rouge,

I found the comment directed to me extremely distasteful.
As this thread is titled 'Are Women necessary' perhaps we are off topic.
We have now ventured into a very different subject that is about; Ladies and Gentleman''

Neither Ladies nor Gentleman discuss such things you raised to women or to their mates and certainly not on a public forum in my opinion.
I am not trying to be rude or embarrass you and ‘would have appreciated it’ had you returned same to me
You may have attended university, higher education and come from a long line of intelligent and even gifted wealthy upper class.
Being a Gentleman or indeed a lady isn’t like a coat we put on and take off.
It’s who you are and what you are that makes either a lady or a woman a man gentleman or a lady. It’s not saying something to a mate or stranger or a women that you wouldn’t like being said to your daughter or mother or wife, if you have one .After saying that I realize this is just my opinion which I guess is what OLO is for.
Perhaps you dress nicely.

Steel,
I think you are in for an interesting thread. From what I have heard of childbirth your idea of men having the children would possible be welcomed by many ladies.

Ah, Sir Yabby. I hope we are not going to hear more of your snake and milking the cow theories speaking of gentlemen – which of course I am ‘not accusing you of.

I would kind of like to be able to stick around this thread instead of having to bolt.

Ladies do not scramble for every single dollar in the divorce courts. Some “women” may I agree.

Most’ ladies walk away. Of course there are always individual circumstances to be considered such as children.

Nobody should have to fight for the Dad to support his own kids either women or lady.

I understand where you are coming from and standards of our society have dropped I agree fully.

Col Rouge: “As it seems in most things, your limited comprehension ensures the misinterpretation of the fundamental and basics.”

Col, old troll, since you've presumed to lecture me about the correct use of Australian English elsewhere, allow me to point out some "fundamental (sic) and basics".

You might like to look up "woman" in the dictionary (I recommend the Macquarie dictionary, since it specifically defines Australian English, as opposed to the version to which you cling). I bet every "lady" you know fits the definition. You might like to note that the plural of "woman" is "women", even here in the colonies.

While you're at it, you might like to explore the distinction between "dispersion" and "aspersion", since you don't appear to know the difference. Check out the difference between "country" and "county" too.

You really should stick to counting beans. I'm sure you don't make such an idiot of yourself as regularly in that dreary profession as you do in this forum.
