My cook and housekeeper are both men and I wouldnt be without them.

My Gardner on the other hand is a lady because they seem to appreciate and care for nature and things of beauty more.

It is in the genes. The (Australian) electorate wants in their leaders, intelligence, common sense, honesty and creativity - an unusual combination of virtues more likely to be found among women than men.(smile).

We understand that you are happiest, dreaming away, muttering away
and complaining to each other, usually about men. Good old
girltalk, it happens all the time.

One would think that nobody ever explained to you,

Yabby I was tempted to refer to your previous post and change cleaning to its correct value. I am pleased you corrected it without me.

As to ladies (I do not involve myself with “women”),

Oh any woman who does not know the difference between a woman and a lady, is obviously not a lady.

And any man who does not treat a “woman” as a “lady” is obviously no gentleman (even if he does take half his weight on his elbows)

But are ladies necessary?

Of course not. Ladies are absolutely dispensable.

However, they are desirable.

Oh yes, to this old fellow they are.

It is simple, ladies are on my list of wants, not necessities or necessaries.

Ladies are up there with the finer things of life they should not be seen as one of the staples of utilitarian subsistence.

(for the equine inspired, a lady is something to be desired and mastered, like a fine mare).

And any gentleman who treats a lady as some form of female utility deserves to lose both her and the respect of his peers.
