"Personally, I want someone to challenge my views so that I can test them".
- Yes that's kind of how I felt making all the arguments about Israel and Jews as I have done.
But the people I've tried to prove my arguments to on merit (who disagree with me) don't want to hear it, and would rather call me names regardless of whether my arguments do or don't hold merit.
What does that say, what does it mean?

I look at our democracy and how to vote.

Either I give thumbs up to Albo and his crap or I give thumbs up to the others and their crap.
There's no middle ground, I'm supposed to choose a side.
Support mass immigration with Albo, or align with Israel with the LNP.

Democracy is flawed, tell me why is there no 'sensible centre'?
Where's the sensible immigration policy, where's the sensible foreign policy>
And I ask myself is democracy itself polarising us, forcing us into opposing camps and forcing us to all fight amongst ourselves?

Where is the sensible centre?

You can't have your sensible argument on merit, 'sensible' isn't allowed in these duels.
Discussion is only permitted to the point we use these 'names' to prevent any real discussion from ever actually taking place at all.

"The reason is their religion forbids selling land to those of other
religions. The effect over a surprising few years becomes racist
whichever way you look at it."

That seems like a valid example Bezza.
Whether or not there's any merit to what you say doesn't really matter.
- Because you'll be the one called a racist / Islamophobic just for bringing the issue up.

Even if the real issue is genuine - religious discrimination to retain land or territory from non-Muslims
You're the one who gets called racist or Islamophobic for drawing attention to it.

These words are the equivalent of pressing the 'mute' button on the TV.
Be Quiet.

Even the lefts own ideas clash with each other and create chaos.
They promote 'equality' but also want us to 'respect other cultures'
If an Indian kid gets to take a ceremonial sword to school every day and the other kids all don't have swords too how is that equality?
Don't make sense.

Where is the sensible centre?
Armchair critic,
Staring you in the face but your indoctrinated mentality won't allow you to see it !

AC I think you have asked the penultimate question - Why is there no 'sensible centre'?

My short and blunt answer is that people are becoming increasingly scared and isolated becoming detached from both the human and natural world. People are no longer interested in learning, or understanding, or accepting the reality of the human condition and how fragile our place on Planet Earth really is. Instead of accepting the basic fundamental truth that we all breathe the same precious air, we all want and need to be loved, we all bleed the same, we all feel pain, we all want ourselves and our loved ones to grow and be healthy and happy, we have grown ever increasingly selfish. We have retreated to a primitive instinct of protecting ‘what’s mine’ above all else. This can be no more accurately illustrated than with the story of a dear friend just returned from the USA to visit her daughter and new born grand-daughter. She was shocked beyond words to discover that her US-born son-in-law has 450 guns in the house to ‘protect what’s his.’ There seems to be a definite refusal and digging in of heels to learning or understanding anything about anyone who isn’t a clone copy of themselves. To these people, the sensible centre is an enigma to be banished in the quest for self interest.

There are pockets of rejecting this outlook on life though. The recent episode on ABCTV’s Back Roads visit to Bordertown for instance. Or wonderful shows like “You Can’t Ask That”, “The Assembly”, “Love on the Spectrum” all shows which explore the rich diversity of humanity. Of course these shows are on ABCTV and some posters on this forum would sooner pour acid into their eyes than watch ABC and learn something.

A British preacher in front of a black flag laid out how he says Islam would break non-Muslim children until they convert or take their own lives.

The above is copied from a post on the internet !

Hi Indy,
Ones a religion and ones a race, but you'll get in trouble for discrimination in either case.

What's your solution, and future vision?

Hi Aries,

I watched Autistic AF with Grace Tame,
- just as a kind of personal protest -

There was this hate-campaign against her and I wanted to make sure she displayed something to me that would make me hate her first before committing to the hate campaign, but I really couldn't find anything.

What I saw was that she's a little quirky, but generally speaking a caring and harmless Aussie girl who dared to have an opinion on an issue she felt strongly about that others disliked or thought she shouldn't have.
