The IPA's Dr. Kevin You says that Albanese's unregulated mass immigration is “driving locals from Sydney” as record numbers of overseas settlers move in at “record numbers”.

In 2023-2025, overseas immigration contributed 108% of Sydney's population increase. (Arrivals exceeded locals leaving) 352,874 net overseas arrivals, with 113,088 locals leaving Sydney.

The unprecedented mass immigration has “hammered” the day to day living standards and “lived experience” of local people in Sydney and its immediate surroundings”, writes Dr. You. And there must be an “immediate cut in immigration” to restore the living standards of Australians, and to fix the “breakdowns in social cohesion and sectarian divisions and conflict.”

The people of Sydney will have to knock-down their backyard granny flats and build more 2-storey backyard houses.

Hi AC,

Don't worry about Sydney, BCC has just revised the zoning regs around our local CBD from 4 story to up to 17 stories. What's it out your way? Property values are still sky high, town houses at $1 million, 3 beds starting at $1.2 million upwards.

YouGov Pulse shows an increase in the number of Australians demanding cuts to immigration: now at 66%. Only 7% were interested in an increase, with 27% saying it should be the same - around 300,000 a year.

97% of conservative voters wanted lower immigration, but a majority of Labor voters (55%) also wanted lower immigration. Greens 37% for lower immigration.

One Nation outpolled both Labor and the Coalition as the best party to handle Australia's immigration system.

'now at 66%'

Interesting, so either 66% of the country are actually closet racists or there's more going on here.
55% of Labor voters are also racist, that's a nice stat.

Obviously, anyone that opposes immigration is racists, that's what they tell us.

Anyone resorting to the done-to-death word 'racist' needs to upgrade his or her vocabulary. Only ill-educated nincompoops who can't muster a good argument use the the word, which, I'll bet, they have never looked up to see what it actually means.

Hi AC,

I'm surprised that only 66% of the population would oppose any kind of uncontrolled migration. If the question was put as; "Do you oppose migration to Australia per se?" Then the result would be different with a very high percentage saying "No" (they agree with migration). No one is realistically arguing for an increase in numbers, given the post COVID boost that took place.

The use of the word "racist" is legitimate when applied to those who stereotype whole groups of people, simply because they are different to themselves, racially and/or culturally, its inescapable that you'll be labelled "racist" if that's what you do. Got one old racists on here who vilifies migrants at every opportunity, but then tell us he gave some black fella 3 serves of Xmas pudding, as if that makes his systemic racism all okay.

The actual question asked in the poll was....
"Thinking about overall immigration to Australia, do you think we need:
Big decrease in immigration
Small decrease in immigration
Immigration to stay the same
Small increase in immigration
Big increase in immigration"

Nothing to do with race. But the usual dills, whose only real ability is realising when they're on a hiding to nothing, always reach for their all purpose nonsensical counter argument...oh its racist/homophobia/transphobia/ islamophobia/ misogynist. And so forth. they love it because it absolves them of any need for actual thinking.

Its amazing what One Nation have been able to achieve here without holding any real power to speak of. They've been able to change the entire national conversation on immigration such that ALL major parties and their stumbling leaders are tripping over themselves and each other to pretend they are tough on immigration. None of this would have happened without One Nation. Instead they would have relied on the same tools as the tools here and called anyone opposed to continued mass immigration policies, racist. But you can't call 2/3rd of the population racist and hope to get elected.

So they're all running for cover and trying to be more Pauline than Pauline.

Yes, but you do it too.

When the left and right stand in their cow paddock and throw cow dung at each other it's kind of depressing.
But to watch two conservative parties throw cow dung at each other is at least a little amusing I have to admit.

I probably can't even make the cow dung throwing comparison without being accused of hurting some Indians feelings about Diwali because their deity was born in a pile of it.

Some suburbs have become one community only on a racist basis.
I won't say it but you know who I mean.
The reason is their religion forbids selling land to those of other
religions. The effect over a surprising few years becomes racist
whichever way you look at it.

Personally, I want someone to challenge my views so that I can test them, But I want the challenge to be based on an alternate angle or some new facts or some new interpretation of old facts. Just reverting to name calling doesn't fit the bill. Yet for so many, shouting racist is the full extent of their thinking ... and its sad.

"Personally, I want someone to challenge my views so that I can test them".
- Yes that's kind of how I felt making all the arguments about Israel and Jews as I have done.
But the people I've tried to prove my arguments to on merit (who disagree with me) don't want to hear it, and would rather call me names regardless of whether my arguments do or don't hold merit.
What does that say, what does it mean?

I look at our democracy and how to vote.

Either I give thumbs up to Albo and his crap or I give thumbs up to the others and their crap.
There's no middle ground, I'm supposed to choose a side.
Support mass immigration with Albo, or align with Israel with the LNP.

Democracy is flawed, tell me why is there no 'sensible centre'?
Where's the sensible immigration policy, where's the sensible foreign policy>
And I ask myself is democracy itself polarising us, forcing us into opposing camps and forcing us to all fight amongst ourselves?

Where is the sensible centre?

You can't have your sensible argument on merit, 'sensible' isn't allowed in these duels.
Discussion is only permitted to the point we use these 'names' to prevent any real discussion from ever actually taking place at all.

That seems like a valid example Bezza.
Whether or not there's any merit to what you say doesn't really matter.
- Because you'll be the one called a racist / Islamophobic just for bringing the issue up.

Even if the real issue is genuine - religious discrimination to retain land or territory from non-Muslims
You're the one who gets called racist or Islamophobic for drawing attention to it.

These words are the equivalent of pressing the 'mute' button on the TV.
Be Quiet.

Even the lefts own ideas clash with each other and create chaos.
They promote 'equality' but also want us to 'respect other cultures'
If an Indian kid gets to take a ceremonial sword to school every day and the other kids all don't have swords too how is that equality?
Don't make sense.

AC I think you have asked the penultimate question - Why is there no 'sensible centre'?

My short and blunt answer is that people are becoming increasingly scared and isolated becoming detached from both the human and natural world. People are no longer interested in learning, or understanding, or accepting the reality of the human condition and how fragile our place on Planet Earth really is. Instead of accepting the basic fundamental truth that we all breathe the same precious air, we all want and need to be loved, we all bleed the same, we all feel pain, we all want ourselves and our loved ones to grow and be healthy and happy, we have grown ever increasingly selfish. We have retreated to a primitive instinct of protecting ‘what’s mine’ above all else. This can be no more accurately illustrated than with the story of a dear friend just returned from the USA to visit her daughter and new born grand-daughter. She was shocked beyond words to discover that her US-born son-in-law has 450 guns in the house to ‘protect what’s his.’ There seems to be a definite refusal and digging in of heels to learning or understanding anything about anyone who isn’t a clone copy of themselves. To these people, the sensible centre is an enigma to be banished in the quest for self interest.

There are pockets of rejecting this outlook on life though. The recent episode on ABCTV’s Back Roads visit to Bordertown for instance. Or wonderful shows like “You Can’t Ask That”, “The Assembly”, “Love on the Spectrum” all shows which explore the rich diversity of humanity. Of course these shows are on ABCTV and some posters on this forum would sooner pour acid into their eyes than watch ABC and learn something.

Hi Indy,
Ones a religion and ones a race, but you'll get in trouble for discrimination in either case.

What's your solution, and future vision?
- Australia - Proudly Muslim Free -

Hi Aries,

I watched Autistic AF with Grace Tame,
- just as a kind of personal protest -

There was this hate-campaign against her and I wanted to make sure she displayed something to me that would make me hate her first before committing to the hate campaign, but I really couldn't find anything.

What I saw was that she's a little quirky, but generally speaking a caring and harmless Aussie girl who dared to have an opinion on an issue she felt strongly about that others disliked or thought she shouldn't have.

"Why is there no 'sensible centre'"

Why do some assume the centre is sensible? The overriding aim of both major parties in Australia for at least the last two decades is pandering to the centre. And we are in dire straits because of it.

You are making less and less sense in every wild post, yabbering about people and things that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

Claiming that there is no ‘centre’ and ‘… calling yourself a centrist is announcing that you don't have a mind of your own. You are a doormat…’ totally confirms my thesis that many people today are retreating to a tribal instinct of protecting what’s mine and bugger everybody else. If I’m not correct, then nobody else can be either mentality. A centralist can have their preferred position (left or right), they can see the pros and cons of the situation, and can accept a decision which positively effects the majority. That’s hardly being a doormat.

Hi Aries54,

I think there has been a shift away from centralist bipartisan policies in Australia, driven by the grievance politics of the far right, in the Australian context. One Nation with a drive to divide Australians into a "them" and "us" society is working well for the likes of Hanson and Joyce, as they use shallow popularism to create a new social class of people who believe the system is working against them, preventing them for achieving their goals in life to their satisfaction, and they are now pessimistic about the future. There have been mistakes made by both the centre right and centre left, but generally Australia's political leadership has clearly promoted an aspirational outlook within society, post war.

"You can never explain your rants when invited to, so I will just say that calling Pauline Hanson a 'traitor' because she wore an 'Israeli scarf into parliament' makes you nitwit of the week.

I thought I explained it pretty good.
Trump's beholden to his Israeli donors and MAGA was really MIGA.
Australian interests are not for Israel to decide.

It's hard to argue with this if you actually pay attention to facts:
http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=10844&page=0#377521

Where do you think all your Muslim and African immigrants came from?
- U.S. wars and military occupations for Israel.

Your unflinching support for America caused the problem.
The War on Terror caused the largest wave of human displacement since World War II, forcing at least 37 million to 59 million people from their homes.

And you supported the wars that caused the immigration you complain about, blindly supporting the U.S. and Israel.
As for Australia and 'our democracy' regarding immigration, well the left simply enabled it, but the right was in on the increased immigration too.

'antisemitic Labor government'

You know what I honestly think when you use that term?

The right are criticising the left for 'not kissing Israel's arse properly'
'That's not how you do it, do it properly like we do! You're barely even trying!'

It's not like Albo stopped the President of Israel coming here, or denied him access to our security services.

'Where do you think all your Muslim and African immigrants came from?
- U.S. wars and military occupations for Israel.' In fact, many have come from the 50 plus countries colonised by Islam in the last 100 years.

Assuming you are right AC (which is extremely dubious) you would think these muslims would be grateful to leave the hell holes they have come from. Instead, a large portion of them have created chaos, crime and fraud everywhere they go. Heh but your hatred of everything Jewish won't stop your dubious world view. No doubt all the Christians being slaughtered by muslims in Nigeria is Israel's fault. I am sure you can twist your narrative to make it fit.

I saw a video the other day, I should've shared it.
It was about the application by the Lebanese Muslim Association to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer from the minaret of the Lakemba Mosque, which was rejected.

Interesting part was where it seemed they had more or less gained the consent of the locals. "This is a Muslim area now, so there shouldn't be a problem." one argued.

And this is how it begins, and next minute our country will be like those wrecked by Islamic immigration in Europe.
They will just elect some Muslim mayor for themselves and then that person will sign some decree and the it will be blaring out for all.

Your hate for Muslim people clouds your judgement, Australia and I doubt the US, are about to become Islamic religious states. Obviously you read extreme material and that coupled with your Islamophobia has convinced you that, that is the case. To what extent people like you would go to "stop the invasion" is a real concern, and that's why Australian security (ASIO) not only has to be on the lookout for religious extremists, but they also need to keep an eye on people like YOU!

Fortunately, us oldies won't see this happen, and it will serve those who do right: they ‘know best’ and sneer and scoff at experience and history. The treacherous Left won't last long at all, and serve them right too. There will be no room for anyone but Muslims in the world caliphate that the apathetic West and its criminally useless politicians and “authorities” are openly encouraging. Their stupid heads will be the first to hit the ground.

Sixteen terrorist attacks have been foiled since the Bondi massacre. The Muslim maniacs will never give up. It's inevitable that future attacks will not be foiled, as the Muslim presence grows, and Australians get more apathetic than they are now.

No Paul, I do read the western literature but I take more notice of
the Islamist political articles.
It is them that propose more immigration to western countries.
This is hardly news, it led to the fall of Constantinople.
The invasion of Europe and the saving of Austria which included
parts of Serbia and all of Slovenia by the intervention of the
Polish Army right at the gates to Vienna.
You need to read up the history of Political Islam.
If you do so you might realise we have been in a war of this kind
since Mohammad sent his army North in the 6th century.
It was personal experience that led to Hungary refusing the immigrants
that Merkel encouraged.
Now the AFD wants to reverse it for all Europe
That is bitter experience.

I put my question up years ago.
Paul1405,
And I answered several times that your lack of integrity overturns answering !

Hi Indy,

Do YOU have anymore of those FACEBOOK REELS YOU are so fond of regurgitating. YOU know the ones, like the other day, YOU posted a crackhead from Brazil one JUNIOR LUTERO, in the employ of ONE NATION faking he was an Aussie, by using AI to give him that dinky-di Aussie accent! No Sucker, like an Old Sucker, ah! Indy! YOU will fall for anything, Including Rednecked Hanson.

We see all these schoolies demanding the death of Pauline.
If only they knew when the Islamists take over when they are older
they will be calling on Pauline's daughter to come and save them.
How ironic is it that the left is totally unaware that after they
help Islam into power the first Infidels for the chop will be the greens.
Yet world wide we see Islam/Greens alliances !

Hi Indy,

I'm supporter of Islam, really, I don't believe that to be the case, where have I said "I support Islam"? What I do support is peoples right to freedom and self determination, something YOU seem to oppose.

Paul1405
I'm all for it ! Just as I'm all for being allowed to protect what I have earned & created in my time & with my effort yet some would call that being White supremacy. When an African American many years ago (quite famous in the music scene) says to me "watch it White $hit" after someone bumped against me & caused me to bump into him, I became aware of what racism is.
Spending most of my life with Australian Indigenous I have witnessed this ugly phenomenon from a multitude of ethnicities & I can assure you it would require quite some observing to establish as to which ethnicity is the more racist. I'd confidently put the Whites at nr 3 after Black & Asiatic ! Yes, there are many Whites who express excessive dislike of others & I'd like to be able to influence them to be of better mentality ! Drug abusing parasitic Bogans all !

After reading the Intergenerational report I realise we are all
wasting our time on here. The women have decided it all for us all.
By refusing to have 2+ babies we as traditional Aussies are doomed.
Deaths exceed births, that says it all. In 100 to 200 years it is over.
Our only hope that I can see is for us all to migrate to New Zealand.
The aborigines will be able to say; The Europeans have gone;
"NOW WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK !"
Well I wonder what the Moslems and Chinese would say to that ?
I think the aborigines might wish we were back.
I can see sometime in the next century Australia will become a
battleground between those two who intend to rule the whole world,
The Islamists and China.
Very dismal isn't it.

Bezza,
Unless we can somehow get the Woke Left & Right to start thinking about acquiring even just an ounce of common sense, your prediction is spot-on !
Also, Education needs to be put on notice to pull their finger out !

Hi Indy,

I assume your reference to the "islam apologists" includes me. Unlike YOU who never seem to venture from beyond his cave, I've been away for a week in Aoteaora to attend a traditional Maori wedding, (our niece) among other things, a fantastic cultural experience. I realise your culture went up in flames with the death of the Fuhrer in 1945, too bad, so sad, but em der breaks! Other that the ridiculous claim by our resident Islamophobe Bezza, I don't see the point. As for his; "Our only hope that I can see is for us all to migrate to New Zealand" I certainly hope not, the Maori people have enough problems with their Pakeha invaders now, without having YOU wash up on the shores of their fair land, to create more havoc!

p/s Don't your mob have a home to go to? I realise YOU did say the Sh!tsville YOU migrated from, your mob bombed the place out of existence, but as I said earlier, too bad, so sad!

Well Paul the choice will be easy for you, just say the words and become a moslem !
Iran's date for the deletion of Israel and all Jews was 2025
A comment I hear Netanyahu say was;
The easiest decision was to bomb Iran, if we didn't we would all be dead !
Don't think New Zealand is not on their list.
Even the US is now starting to worry about an Islamic takeover.
Lets face it they say it loud enough and often enough;
Jihad means imposing Islam on all the world, accept that or die !
You think that is just talk, then look at the history of the Islamic countries.

it was no secret Israel was to be nuked, why do you think the war started ?
Where should I go ? Well it is too late to go to the UK so I think I
will join the resistance. Perhaps they will have a comms section where
I might be useful.

Hi Bezza,

I am the first to agree that any religion taken to extreme is dangerous, including Islam. There are many other factors at play besides religion, in relation to conflict between "them" and "us", religious differences has simply become a focal point for difference, there are other geopolitical and economic factors at play that are also fuelling conflict in the Middle East, and elsewhere. If the World could deal with all that causes conflict, then it would be a better place. Religion is so endemic that simply believing its eradication would "solve the problem" is unrealistic, other critical issues have to be resolved as well. Do we agree?
